thanks for playing! yeah, there's a "clock" ticking in the background of events that always happen at the same time. Majora's Mask used to be one of my favorite games.

I think this has my favorite cursor of the jam so far! I also like the sounds and also how the QTEs are used

really like the style of this one! I kept choosing "SLEEP" and got the first ending multiple times lol. Sleep is always a good choice

Cool premise!

Is there no sound, or was it just not working on my computer?

this has some of my favorite art that I've seen so far in the jam!

Thanks for playing (and for helping me catch another bug — just patched it out!)

🔥

thanks! yes, any bug reports are just an error on my part and not some elaborate ARG meta-game lol. I can see exactly what's happening here based on what you pasted and will be sure to fix that in the next patch.

thanks for playing and glad you had fun!

there's definitely going to be a bug-fixing patch at some point soon, because there's a lot of testing I didn't get a chance to do before the deadline.

yeah, balancing the puzzles and hints a bit more is also something I would've liked to do with more time. It's a tough balance figuring out how secret to make a secret lol. I do sometimes put very obscure interactions or endings into Ren'Py games precisely because I know how easy it is to look at the source code!

Awesome, thanks! I'll look into it for the next update

thanks for playing!

thanks for playing and leaving  comment!

Thanks or playing! Do you happen to remember if the item glitch came before or after you loaded the save? Saving and loading was definitely an issue that I wanted to test more before the jam deadline and will probably update at some point in the future

yes

yeah, my first five games + kinda Qabara the Artist are all part of the same series. not a ton of continuity, but it's easier than having to invent new characters for each game lol

of course! game preservation is so important!

oh god, i feel like i just found a cursed secret mode in Game Boy Camera. love the art direction!

it's super monkey ball, hold the ball! A+ audio work

to be fair, I feel like humans in the music industry probably get treated the same way

glad to hear it all worked as intended! If I do a post-jam update, maybe I'll change the coloring on the scroll bar for more contrast.

Glad you enjoyed it! the invisible green screen bass was a nice touch. Sounds like we have a similar understand of musical theory for bass, lol

Hey!

After several years of mostly  releasing smaller free projects on itch, I've finally released a big one: Qabara The Artist (https://yossarianiii.itch.io/qabara-the-artist)

It's an adventure game where you play as a very anxious 9-year-old artist who wants to paint her masterpiece before she turns 10. Basically, you just explore the world and examining certain items or completing certain tasks will earn you inspiration that can help you level up to the next artistic plateau.

The game is short — you could finish it in one sitting — but it's also dense, with multiple solutions to puzzles and hidden storylines.

To celebrate the main character's fear of turning 10, the game is 10% off for the first two weeks after launch.

Trailer here:

Thanks to everyone here who has helped support my previous stuff!

Sincerely,

Yoss

Thanks for playing! It's always fun seeing people randomly stumble onto old games. Also, wow, can't believe this game is over 7 years old. If it was a kid, it'd be learning multiplication by now.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, it's a tough balance. I do think a rougher art style absolutely works better for some types of writing and would never want to discourage someone from trying a rougher style for themselves. And there are actually a handful games with extremely janky art styles that blew up (Cruelty Squad and Goat Simulator are two that come to mind, lol). It does seem, though, like most current game discovery platforms put the most emphasis on screenshots and gifs, where glossier art tends to have the advantage.

Thanks for playing!! Sorry the pen doesn't allow you to write, haha!

Thanks for playing! I always like watching people discover that last ending you found, haha

Sure, no problem!

My guess is you're missing one of the broken foot endings. First you have to break it by kicking the fridge too much. If you immediately try to run away, you'll get one broken foot ending, and if you hit the fridge with a hammer 6 or 7 times (while the foot is already broken), you'll get a different one.

Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to review it!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for downloading!! Yeah, I’m also originally from PA and have spent a lot of time in all those places.  Thought they’d be an interesting and unexpected setting for something like this. Best of luck with your YouTube channel!

Thanks!!

Sorry for the problems! I just emailed a free download key to the email address associated with your PayPal. You could try to send the payment directly (it's konolgames at gmail), but honestly if it doesn't work, it's no big deal!

cool! Just let me know if you have any problems

Hi Metaparadox! I checked my paypal account, and it says your payment did go through but was then refunded. Itch isn’t showing the purchase of the game on my end either.  If you did get refunded, maybe just try again? If not, let me know, and I’ll see if there’s anything I can do.

thanks for playing!! Loved the stop-motion bits in the middle.

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!!

Thanks for playing!!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks! Working on a fix...

Thanks for playing!! Also, congrats on being I think the first streamer to reach the end. The speed run time to beat is now 11:47!
