Change it in the settings

I do like the effect it aims for. Makes the funhouse seem really endless and expansive, like a fever dream. Also please check out my game if you have the chance!

I liked the idea of the game and character of Simon. The parallax backgrounds move waaaay too fast and they were distracting at points though, and the pillars shouldn't be at the same level of contrast and brightness as the foreground. The death animation/process is also a bit wonky and interrupted the game loop.

I love the meta-commentary on the game jam and the art style is very nice. The game needs a health bar.

But, the game went to black after the first sequence :( Please fix this, because I'm really interested in how the story finishes!

Wow I actually really love this game. There is a good variety of mechanics and powerups, and the bosses are great in how they make you predict their movements and use powerups you've gotten before.

I especially love the visuals and music!! They give this game such a unique and charming personality that I can't say many other games have. The story + cutscenes are also cool, and they help frame the gameplay well and remind me of the Binding of Isaac.

There are two easy bugs you could fix though. One is that you get stuck on the sides of walls. Make sure the physics material on the colliders don't have any friction. And another is that the projectiles you shoot are treated as the same tag/layer as the player, so e.g. if you shoot at lava, you die.

Well there isn't much to it but what you have is good and fun for a bit. I wish there was some element of progression or indicator of how far along the level I was tho.

I found this game with a random search, but it's actually very surprisingly similar to the game I made, so check that out if you can thanks!

The game is fun. I liked the strategy component of having to quickly consider whether it's more worth it to kill or get hit by a yellow enemy given the factors of your health and current combo, and that sort of thing could easily be expanded upon if you wanted to make a bigger game; I think it has a lot of potential. Moving around and swinging enemies is also pretty satisfying. I didn't understand how the combo system worked, though. And you should probably make the enemy colors more different from each other, since I'd imagine some players might have difficulties distinguishing the two. But other than that, great work!

I was actually going to have different "minigames" for the player's attacks, but it was sorta out of scope. It's not really meant to be all that interesting anyway

The edits under my name are mine. I put links to the wiki and 5b server in the game's description (if Meester Tweester's ok with me linking it). You might want to join if you have Discord, since it's easier to talk there

Cool (you have a typo in the name btw)

Cool form! Thanks for this, I'm flattered :D

You can play it in Flashpoint can't you?

https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/

Nooo BFDIA 5b is still a great game! But thanks lol

You can change it in the settings

OK you can change controls now in settings

I mean one of these https://www.autohotkey.com/  https://www.howtogeek.com/409581/how-to-write-an-autohotkey-script/

Kinda complex sorry but like I said it's not ideal. I would recommend just using the default keys if possible, you can find the list in the settings

Unfortunately no, the current input system makes it really hard to save keybinds

If you're really desperate for a workaround, you can use an AutoHotkey script

Ooooh that's cool! I might join that lol. (Though, I'd have to make a new Discord account, since I lost access to my old one)

I'm wondering, are there more speedrunners of this, or is it just you so far? It's super cool to see people doing this regardless :D

Hey I saw you followed me and I wanna say this game looks really cool, I'll check it out when I have time! :)
