(Oops I replied to the wrong comment, pretend I replied to your other reply lol)

Ah, that's unfortunate. It works fine on chrome and firefox, sorry it didn't work on opera. If it helps, there is an executable you can download if you want to experience the ending at some point! As for the models, I made the enemies and another contributor (qordan) modeled Terry. Glad you liked them. :)

Thank you! It's weird that you couldn't type those characters, you mind telling me if you were playing on the web build or executable? If you were on web what browser do you use? Thanks again for your kind words! I've made up my mind that we will be working on a post-jam version, so you can expect that some day.

Wow, thanks for the feedback, this all means a lot. I'm glad you liked the game so much! I actually just now finished the game crashing bug you mentioned.

I'll take your feedback on death being harsh into account too! We planned on adding checkpoints but ran out of time, it's on the list of things to add in a post-jam update. I was on the fence of making a post-jam update initially but I think this comment pushed me over the edge into wanting to fully do one now. I had a fun time playing your team's game as well, it reminded me a lot of playing Warioware as a kid so it got some extra points due to nostalgia.

I had no idea Ctrl + W was a thing, we should have been more careful in that regard, thanks for the feedback.

Overall, thank you so much, and I'm super glad you liked the game this much!

I LOVE THE BAT AAAAAA

ending was good, love the creature. i felt so sorry for it the whole time

I LOVE THE BAT AAAAAA

Very nostalgic game!! It reminds me of those anime dress-up games I'd play with my sister as a kid. Cute, simple, functional.

zeeeb is my favorite he's great

Very funny and neat game, I loved it! I love the visuals and sound especially, they're very polished for how little time there was.

Very charming game, it reminds me of some nostalgic web games I used to play as a game. Good work!

For a first time game jam, it's impressive you guys even got anything out at all. Graphics were great, I love the idea behind the story and the game has a very distinct identity. The gameplay obviously has flaws, but the potential still shines through quite a bit.

Super cute runner game,  love the interpretation of the theme! I'm also a fan of the silly dog. Great game :)

Loved the concept, would love to see it expanded on more! I liked the part with the giant saw.

I want to punt the creature.

Real Review:
The visual style is absolutely amazing!! The sound design is great too. In terms of gameplay, it's fun for a while but I think the incredibly slow pace brings it down a bit. In my opinion, the charm more than makes up for any flaws, it was a good time even if I wanted to kill the odd being.

Thanks a bunch!

This is so peak I can't lie, this is the only game I've played so far that had me grinning like a maniac. It was very short, encountered some odd bugs, but the strange visuals made up for it. This is genuinely great, so silly I love it!!

The idea was really silly and fun, but the execution could use some work. It's nostalgic in the sense that it feels like a flash game I would have played and loved as a kid. In terms of gameplay, it's a bit of a drag, but it's also very charming in its own way. One highlight was me finding out they can turn off the lights while I was trying to get one of them to get a sausage.

Fun idea, it reminds me a lot of sit and survive by Scott Cawthon! Very neat survival game, especially for the time constraint. I especially appreciate the added polish on the UI, there's some things you didn't have to do, but did anyway, and that boosted the rating by a decent bit. One main thing is that I think the text flashes on the screen a bit too fast, I didn't have much time to read some of it, but other than that, good entry!

It's a shame you didn't get to finish, I like the little glimpse of the potential art direction that we got a lot. The character designs are unique and interesting, I like the paper cut-out look! The idea was also very nice, it would've been nice to see that expanded on but I understand why y'all couldn't.

Nice and sillly game, it's the kind of puzzle game that makes you wanna keep trying to sort of prove to yourself, "I'm not dumb I can totally do it." I really like the bunny design! I will say, there were a lot of controls on the control screen, it overwhelmed me a tad. Overall the art is great, the gameplay was fun, and the music was pretty good. :>

Thanks for the feedback, it means a lot. I'm glad the game resonated with you in that way. I was actually a bit worried the game would be too easy and therefore boring, a genuine fear I had was that people wouldn't even see the monsters and just type everything perfectly fast all the way through.

very fun game! it felt a lot like a mini-game collection, sorta like warioware, but all diegetic. it definitely feels like something that if expanded could be an amazing high-score based game.

Thanks for the feedback! We spent all morning working on fixing a ton of things, so if you did want to see the rest of the game you SHOULD be able to now. We fixed a bunch of things related to cutscenes not playing, doors not openening/closing, and more notably sound effects that weren't playing/were half implemented.

If we ever do a post-jam content update we will probably change the font. :)

That's fine, it'd be nice to see it improved later on. Thank you for your time!

I'm a little unsure what you mean by absolute path. I expected that you meant something like:

<audio controls>
    <source type="audio/ogg" src="file:///C:/Users/MyName/Music/unfinished.ogg" />
</audio>

but after trying that out as well as a few other things the audio player still just showed up as unplayable

Did you mean to format it some other way?

I actually did attempt to do it in HTML, and while an audio player did show up, the audio file didn't load and it wouldn't play. I don't think it's due to an invalid source path or anything. The MD file is in the same directory as an audio folder,  and the file I'm trying to access is in said audio folder. The path I'm giving is "/audio/audiotest.wav". I've also tried it in OGG.

Could you confirm that using HTML for audio players works for you?

This isn't a super urgent thing, but as someone who likes to note things down audibly, it would be nice to be able to embed audio files like you can with images. This is something I used to do back when I used Obsidian (which I stopped using for several unrelated reasons).

If it's not easily doable, that's fine,  just thought I'd make the suggestion since i didn't see anyone else doing so and it would be convenient. Thanks!

this is actually peak omg
