Hey. Saw your game when researching how to do nice PSX wheat field. Any chance we could talk?

Yes. Sometimes you wonder where your parcel is and it's stopping turtles

we considered it actually but thought people would downvote because it won't be one hit

Ty Ty! Randomly snagged the pack with it off asset store for free. If you look at their sales sometimes they give away assets

Like 10% of game dev time was spent on the page

Glad you liked it! It's a technical limitation mostly, if we increased the water size slower computers would struggle

Wait until you find out the hack to hijack a helicopter (not real)

Hehe! Glad you've enjoyed it!

My original idea was to remake the yeti-penguin baseball game but then I've found the water creature asset pack and fell in love.

Ty Ty

Glad you enjoyed it! You can never have too much feedback in games like this

ty ty!

Your conscience. To be honest we planned to limit the play space or add a really fast enemy you would need to outdamage but didn't have the time to properly implement them

Thanks for the kind words! What would you like to see added?

Hehe. We just might! Basics are mostly done so it makes sense to work on some more. What's your favorite card combo btw?

I'm not sure if music depends on character or stage actually, gotta consider all the opportunities first

Might just steal the skelename tbh. We've actually considered limiting the arena but that would require tons of testing we didn't have time for.  To give you some perspective: we had like 50 card ideas and only managed to implement 20 something due to slight overscoping .

Glad you enjoyed it though!

It is a bit busted. I would maybe turn it down but some builds tend to use dash to compensate for low movement speed so it's kind of a crutch at this point

Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed the intro, it suffered so much when it got ported to URP and then webgl! You walk around with wasd and shift modes with spacebar. The rest of the game kinda plays itself you just have to aim with the mouse

Ty! We're actually thinking about doing more with that in the future. Like some cards adding instruments to the mix and such

I speak Russian and it's almost the same language. Sorry for your ears

(1 edit)

It was surprisingly simple actually, fmod basically sends out events for every beat that is automatically detected.

Happy that you liked it!

😳

Glad you liked it!

Would you prefer it to be more intensive in the future?

That's thanks to Willa, her sound magic really carried the game. Glad you enjoyed it!

Ty ty

I've actually made the cutscene while we were deciding on the game mechanics

Oh yeah, explosions are notoriously buggy and a bit OP. Rebalancing the game after the jam for sure.

We had like 50 cards planned but didn't have the time to implement them all.

Thank you for the kind words though!

It actually autofires to the beat of the music

This is in my opinion a pretty much finished game. You could sell something like this on appstore/playmarket.

Great job!

Really nice retro feel and premise but I completely missed how to use a gun. Could be a lack of tutorial, could just me being stupid. Probably latter

Bubble spawn is actually fully controlled by the player. You yourself spawn them in. I agree that you need some bubbles loop 0 though.

The mechanic I'm most proud of is actually a windows build exclusive. If you beat the current high score you get to leave a message for everybody. But I'm glad you liked it!

eerie is good

Try the windows build if you haven't - getting a #1 high score lets you leave a message for everyone

Absolutely love the idea! Consider a line renderer with a gradient to trace your path. Something like that will immensely help the UX

Thanks for the criticism!

Originally only the bottom of the screen would kill you but that was too easy. Side bounces might be an interesting way to balance it but I'll have to do it after the jam if I decide to add more content.

Had to flip the song myself for the rewind effect because webgl doesn't support negative pitch. The more you know

PS - I don't speak Spanish either, just felt like using it

Glad you liked it!

These guys actually have weapons, they just choose not to use them because pacifism (totally not an AI detection bug)

The original idea was to iterate upon the screen mechanic and incorporate it into more of a puzzle environment, but we had to shift focus late into development. What would make the game more fun in your opinion?

Ah, the last key you're missing is actually on the stairs. There's a 2 screen thing there. I don't think there are any softlocks, you can even shoot your way out of a locked cell

Yeah, we got a bit too overzealous with the scale of the game and had to do a 180 in the last two days just to finish it, so a lot of the mechanics weren't fleshed out. Same goes for the visual side.

I've fallen and I can't get up!

The idea is cool and original, looks neat.

Game does sometimes eat my inputs and bugs out with UI tho.

There's something deeply therapeutic about popping 20 ships at once with an explosive bullet
