My personal winner for this jam. The puzzle mechanic is very complex and multi-variable, but still comprehensible to feel like solving as opposed to guesswork. Solving these were a blast, and especially 'The Great Migration' really stumped me.
I think the only thing I could think to criticize would be the visuals at some (very minor) points. Sometimes if a train was moving on a track that was about to change direction, it would teleport unnaturally to the correct spot. Also, I think the brown void surrounding the puzzle could use some detail. However, I recognize that for a game jam neither of those are real priorities, and I mostly say them out of necessity to find something to improve upon.
Incredibly well done. Your #1 in gameplay and #2 in fun is absolutely deserved.
Thanks for the nice message and congratulations on your win, absolutely deserved!
Very satisfying game! I loved the visuals. It's a game to play very calmly and chill.
Thanks for playing!
So much fun! Cute art style and clever implementation of the theme, combined with challenging puzzles that feel rewarding when you figure it out.
Thanks for playing!
The puzzles are amazing! I'm soo surprised at how you manage to build a lot of levels completely on your own. The camera controls are also amazing! Dude you have a great game here, with a bit more polish you could sell this game.
Thanks for the compliments!
Really fun and interesting puzzle game. The puzzles were genuinely a fun challenge, which is rare for a a jam game (they are usually unfun or too easy), and aside from a couple bugs, the game worked well! The art and music were also excellent, and overall, the game was just fun to play. Like others said, the tutorials could've used a bit more time, and I wish there was a way to get back to the menu from the actual game, but other than that and the infinite track glitch I have no complaints!
Thanks for playing!
Glad you liked the puzzles. I find that creating them is very difficult, so I use these jams to help improve that.
There should be a way to get back to the menu, by the way (Escape to bring up the pause menu and there should be a button :p)
Abnormally huge game for 1 week game jam! I really dont understand how it possible solo!) And even level editor! You are monster!) Nice music choice. Well done complexity level progression. The only thing missing is a more visual tutorial (I couldn’t figure out for a while how to block the rail), but I understand that I want a lot from the 1 week game) Great job!
Thanks for the compliments!
I had a week off and, since I constantly create new projects and never finish them, I know how to quickly bash something together :p
As for the tutorials, they were added last minute so they're not very good.. I'm gonna try to update those in the future!
This is my dream to have ready-made preparations for popular game mechanics)
Great job on this game! For the limited time in the jam you got a lot of levels, functionality and details put together.
Could just be me but it took me a bit of time to fully grasp how certain mechanics worked, but I got it eventually. Love how the environment looks and especially the trains.
Really good job on this! :)
Thanks for playing!
It isn't just you :p. The tutorials were added in a hurry on sunday, so they aren't the best. Also doesn't help that the controls can be a bit buggy..
I will update it soon with fixes, hopefully!
“I like trains” :) Nice game, quite well done. I finished all levels and really enjoyed the “Great Migration” level.
Thanks for playing!
Loved the game, reminds me of some steam game with a similar train concept. Great job making this during a jam
Thanks for playing!
I don't even know how you made this in a week! super fun and intriguing but I did find a bug where you could have -2 rails out of 10, which I could use to cheese some levels.
Thanks for playing! I had some free time.
I'm aware of the bug and will fix it soon!
Really nice puzzle game. Good job
Thanks!
Game is quite good. It needs some polish but you can easily put it on the google play and/or app store. I found a bug where ı can decrease the number of available rails in a level if ı can keep adding and removign them. You should add a check for that but other than that it was awesome. Very addictive and fun.
Thanks for playing!
I'd love to create a full game out of it, but I don't know if I can come up with enough good puzzles :p
This is in my opinion a pretty much finished game. You could sell something like this on appstore/playmarket.
Great job!
Thanks for playing and the compliments!
An interesting puzzle game! Very cool visuals and mechanics. I loved the animation as well. One suggestion I have is that I wish the camera movement could be smooth for a more personalized viewing angle.
Thanks for playing!
I quickly added the camera movement day one and didn't look back, so it may be a bit rough, yea... :p
Love it!
Thanks for playing!
Very interesting logic. Would love large scale puzzles of this style. Maybe a working computer build from the game logic? Needless to say, loved the game. I also experienced the glitch allowing for infinite tracks.
Thanks for playing!
Yea, I'm aware of the infinite track glitch, didn't have time to fix it though.. :/
Very well done! The visuals are really well polished, and the low-poly art style is fantastic! The puzzles were challenging, but fun, and the mechanics felt robust for creating interesting setups! I would love to see this expanded upon for a full release on Steam, mobile, or other platforms. Perhaps with some varying environments and backgrounds? The biggest issue I had was that I could glitch infinite tracks with right-click. But overall, great job!
Thanks for playing!
Glad you liked the puzzles, that's one of my improvement focuses as I find it very hard.
As said in another comment, I couldn't fix the track glitch before the deadline.. :/
Great game Kevin, i enjoyed the puzzles you put togehter and the polish you were able to put in the game. One thing i did notice was the text for the tutorial was overlaying the buttons in the top right, would make it easier to read if you were to move it down a bit and also make it pop out a bit more at first i was not sure what was stopping me from playing. Overall great work.
Thanks for playing!
The tutorial was kinda slapped on in the last minute, so it isn't really thought through/polished. I'll keep it in mind if I continue it!
