I've been thinking about all the books I've read, and movies or television shows I've watched, and I've been trying to figure out what generally makes he most satisfying conclusion. Across the board I tend to most enjoy endings where the primary plot has been reasonably wrapped up, and generally most or many of the secondary plots also... But where the ending is left open, in that it's allowed to continue and keep moving forward. Where the characters get together for 'the next adventure' and it's implied or outright stated that while the journey you've just witnessed is now over, these characters will continue existing and living in this created world to continue on to something else.
So what's that got to do with Minotaur Hotel?
Well I just wanted to throw my two cents into the pot in the hopes that the Devs might do something similar.
Where the story wraps up (most if not all of the side characters plot lines in a meaningful way) the main plot and we get to see something along the lines of:
Asterion and MC finally managing to free Asterion from the prison of the hotel, and perhaps the two go explore the world that Asterion has missed out on... but, later we also see that they are still taking care of the hotel and its guests, in an attempt to turn what had been a curse into something that helped those in need.
(Essentially using the magic hotel to keep helping lost travelers, except now it's not a prison sentence, it's Asterion's own choice & MC is there to support him... And fade to black... End)
It's a happy note to end on, where Asterion is free but continues to help others and do what he loves. While the Hotel was a prison sentence he turned it into something he loved, because Asterion genuinely cares about the guests, and I doubt he would ever fully leave the hotel to it's ruin, because he's turned it into something better than the prison it was meant to be.
