Relocate the "Remove this Submission" button from game jam submission pages

As the title states, it would be great if you relocated the “Remove this Submission” button to somewhere much less prominent (I’m thinking smaller font somewhere near the bottom). The styling and position make it far too easy to accidentally press, which I’ve seen result in the deletion of many games post-submission deadline.

Given the contrast between the background and the text, the “Remove this Submission” option is actually clearer and more intuitive to press than the edit button.

Edit: a word.

Did you accidentally press it? There is a confirmation dialog if you press it, it will not immediately remove your submission.

That said, we have some plans to introduce some more options for submission owners and the removal button will likely be moved into a drop down menu.

I haven’t pressed it at all, but I saw reports of quite a few that did. I assumed there was confirmation dialog, so to be honest I’m surprised by accidental deletions. Thought I’d flag it in case it hadn’t been mentioned.

A dropdown menu sounds like a good move. Thanks for replying Leaf.

Edit: a few people tested it out and did not get the confirmation dialog.

Are you able to share these reports? Any information about what browser they are on? Any browser extensions? I just tested on latest Chrome & Firefox with no extensions and the confirmation dialog appeared as expected.

I apparently just removed my teams' game submission from mobile without noticing while scrolling on my screen. It was like a few mins becore the end of the game jam so well... it was too late before we noticed. We had a lot of good comments so we are a little sad to have lost them...

I didn't get any dialog box to confirm. I was on Firefox on mobile (Firefox Nighly to be precise but not sure it matters).

One problem with relying on a confirmation dialog is that people are so used to clicking through them that they might not even consciously register the dialog.  I can't say that this has happened to me, but I can say that I've clicked through more than one confirmation dialog before I was able to stop myself.
