The combat is hectic. Is there a turn-based mode or time dilation?

Seriously, I've just rescued Cecily and that literally took a miracle not to get VIPs killed (I had to run away to save them from reinforcements). The combat is manageable when there's a single enemy, but even 3 are just randomly blinking around. It brings me some serious flashbacks of FO:BoS. IMO this calls for a combat pause, x3/x5 time dilation or, better yet, a turn-based combat. Is there a mod or an option for that? I would be grateful for information.

I get what you mean. Especially since I'm a dumbass that chose to go for a sex build. However; it is actually manageable. you just have to use positioning more. Take time to set up and save before fights. You can direct followers to specific spots and then tell them to wait. For example, in Cecily's rescue quest, you can have her and her manservant wait in the room she was captive in, holding a V position at the doorway. Adding yourself into the picture makes for a death box that you can kite enemies into. Also,  If you can use traps, DO.  Traps make me really wish I wasn't stubbornly all in on my build.

Overall, the combat just takes a different approach. I think a better gripe is the AI pathing, especially in areas that reinforce after a period of being discovered. There's nothing more frustrating as watching a woman crawl back and forth between two spots for a minute during the countdown for an impending swathe of death and worse.

Edit: Oh, and to actually answer your question.  I'm not someone that knows for sure, but I dug around and couldn't find any turn-based or pause mod.  There aren't really many mods at all, as far as I can see. Again though, not the person to provide a definitive answer. All I can do is provide advice on how to make progress despite the challenging combat.

Oh yeah, that mission is BRUTAL.

Using a combat build what I did was position Cecily and GR just at the end of the hallway into the room and lured the bandits one by one into a kill box.

Use the call companion skill then tell them to stand 'wait' when you have them in a good position or they go full retard and get themselves killed.

to be fair though it is an action game primarily and the combat is meant to be brutal as far as grey rat and cecily are concerned you just want to place them approperately in the room you start with its usually a trivial matter to blow through absolutely all the guards and re-enforcements with good positioning and as long as you can hit the enemies faster than cecily can they will usually strike you or grey rat you can also use the companion call while holding shift then select the individual person and then command them over with another shift companion call at the spot you want them to stand guard(you will know you selected them evidenced by a green arrow over their head) they will typically not budge more than 1 unit from their spot

oh yeah on rereading this time dialation? you mean acceleration? hold shift+ctrl and sneak(if thats not it its shift alt sneak) you will accelerate time by 2x if your system can play the game at 2x framerate and in theory if talking about your combat pause you can pause buffer technically and buffer inputs in as the menu is closing but only on hell difficulty and lower although i don't think the game will like you doing that to it it could cause a crash.
