Unity not updating

Hello there, I have been trying to install Unity to the latest version. I currently have 2020, and recently tried to upgrade the editor to the 2021 version,  but for some reason it won't download. Is there a reason why this newer version won't download?

I don't use Unity, but the best thing to get an answer is to try directly on the official unity forum.
https://forum.unity.com/

I say this, because here there is everything, people who use unreal, godot, etc. In the other forum, 100% of the people who read your post will know about Unity.

Sounds good thank you

You can try to download it directly. https://unity.com/releases/editor/archive

You can also delete your temp files and try again - Appdata / Local / Temp (I think the installation files are placed there.)

Also exclude the folder you're installing Unity in from your anti-virus, because Unity writes 100s of small files, and the anti-virus can interfere with this.

Unity Hub writes log files that may give some clues. See the bottom of page https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/LogFiles.html.

That said, Hub seems rather unstable at times. I’ve had to un- and re-install it several times during the last couple of years. So that might help also (it shouldn’t affect Unity Editor installations).
