Setting suggested donation to $0

Greetings, all! I made an itch.io page for my project last week, and have been learning about how everything works. Now I just stumbled across something that I wonder if may be a bug or something else. I set pricing to "$0 or donate", and I tried setting the suggested donation at $0. However, when I go to click my own download button to test everything, the suggested price of 2$ pops up. There's no issue if I set the suggested price at some other sum, so my question is whether it's actually impossible to suggest a donation of zero, or if this is something I should be able to do (if so, how)?

Hey, sorry for not getting back to your topic sooner. The suggestion donation must have a value, if 0 is entered then it clears and is reset back to the default of 2 dollars. We already have an option for people to pay 0 and go to the download page for free on the download dialog, so the suggested amount is for when people are considering paying. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the reply. That makes sense. I think what may have confused me, is that if I enter an invalid sum as the suggested donation, I get a popup saying: "suggested price — expected price then price between $1.00 and $10,000.00, or $0.00, or empty", which … hum, is kind of unclear ;) It somehow made me think $0.00 as the suggested donation was actually a thing.
