How to use Markdown in blog posts/Dev logs?

I enabled the Prefer Markdown input where available option in account setting, and I’m using Markdown to write this message, but Markdown isn’t working on blog posts/dev logs. For example, when I write:

**123**

Instead of displaying it as 123 it displays **123**.

If you’re editing an existing post that was written with the rich text editor, then it will always use that editor regardless of your account’s settings. New posts will use the editor that you have configured your account for. In the future we may add a way to “convert” posts between the types, but it’s fairly low priority right now.

Hope that helps!

Problem is, I just created a new post, and it’s not using Markdown! It’s using HTML.

Which page are you using to create a new post?

I used the red New Post button in this page to create a new blog post

I just created a new post and it’s using Markdown! Maybe I created a new post too fast after changing my account setting? Anyway, it’s working now! Thanks for your help.
