If you tried the game, I'd love to hear what you thought! Did you manage to finish all the included rooms? Was it fun? Found any issues?

And if you have a picture with it running on device, it would be so amazing if you could share it! Thank you kindly!

I'm really enjoying this game! I love the graphics, the gameplay mecanism and the dialogues are fun.

Developer

Thank you so much! It looks so cute on device!! :)

Beat the first five levels and really enjoyed it! I had to restart each room a few times and I was pleased with that difficulty curve. No issues to report either!

My only suggestion is that the warp symbols could be clearer at a glance as to what warps where. I think I'd be better at spotting different shapes as opposed to the same shape rotated :)

Developer

Thank you! I'll think about replacing those symbols with something else, but with such limited space, I might not come up with something better.. I'll try though!

Yeah, I think this is much easier to follow. Maybe not as diegetic, but if the lore supports numbers for fall positions, it sure can support letters for the gateways. :) What do you think?

Do you have any plans for some kind of endless mode or anything with more replayability?

Developer

Just the 20 rooms for the full release and maybe a few more in an update, if it does well. An endless mode would be a considerable undertaking. I'm making this as a passion project, it's not exactly a good financial decision, so investing more than that into it would just make me plain dumb. :))

Love this so far. Great work! Two suggestions:

1. I have a really hard time using the crank for rewinding. Would much prefer that to be on the B button, with the current popup menu options just stuck in the system menu.

2. Paging through all the dialog notes when retrying is a bit of a drag. It'd be nice if the B button could immediately dismiss without paging through like A. Or maybe put the notes above Elena's head so you'd need to jump to read them in the first place.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I'm happy you're enjoying the game.

1. Unfortunately, the crank rewind is the main gimmick for the game, so I have no plans to change that. Switching it to a button would waste a lot of the charm and would make some sections of the game too easy. I will lower the amount you need to rotate before you undo your position, hopefully that will help a bit.

2. Closing the dialogues completely with the B button is most likely impossible without modifying Pulp, the little engine the game is made with. But I'm happy to inform I've implemented a solution through which read messages do not appear again after restart - it will be available in the next build. Exiting the level and starting it again from the main menu puts back the messages, as a clean start.

I beat the full release just earlier and really enjoyed it! It's great how there are new mechanics introduced right up until the very end and nothing outstays its welcome. I look forward to seeing what you do next!

(I also found the letters for gates much easier to follow, so thank you!)

Awesome, happy you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing it!

Brilliant game, brings back memories of Pharaoh's Tomb but perfectly adapted for playdate 馃檪

Thank you so much! I'm happy you enjoyed it.

I'm still enjoying the game but have got very stuck. Could you provide a hint for room 17? The only ability is the boot but I can't see how to get to the top right coin or the middle area. Thanks!

Developer

You need to use the boot to dash onto the one-way arrows. If you position yourself on the coin marked with the red X, coming from the left, then press A, it will dash you to the first arrows, then dash again to the corner arrows. Use this strategy for the rest of the room. Please let me know if you need more help. I'm happy you're enjoying the game!

Ahh, I tried everything (except that!) Awesome, thanks!
