Best PnP crawler out there

Got me hooked on the first try! I was looking into simple dungeon crawlers/rpg-s to maybe hook my fiancé into, and after the first few turn she said the magic words: This is fun!

Since then we conquered one dungeon with a Monk Wizard (Lightning, Life Drain) combo, just killing the first boss by the hair. After that we ventured straight into the second, where lucky enemy and scrolls drops let us breeze through the dungeon, and arrive at the final boss with 2 Freezing Scrolls, poor soul didn’t have a chance. We wrote up chars to continue it later.

After my first solo run I was inspired by a friend to journal it down, and decided to do a little “imaginary” dungeon mockup after the run!

My “only ciriticism” isn’t even fair, as this was specifically designed to be as small and lazy as it can. I’d love a little more, classes (where priest) items maybe, swords and shields, maybe special rooms and some enemy variety, maybe even with their special own skills. We are already brainstorming with a friend on a little homebrew expansion to maybe pull it out from the full “lazy mode” and add a touch of our spice to an already amazing game piece! Well done!

(Any plans on expansions btw? 👀 )

Little appended quiestion, are you into releaseing the raw design files, so people can contribute/homebrew/mix or is that something you are against?

Hi @achie,

Sorry for the delay, I was on vacation.

Your feedback took me by surprise! I really appreciated your feedback.

I loved your dungeon map too. I wish I had the ability to draw maps hahahah

Regarding an “expanded” game, I highly recommend you check out Note Quest (the game that inspired me). You can purchase it in https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/308955/NoteQuest paying as much as you want. NoteQuest is a very complete dungeon crawl, with equipment, different monsters, different dungeons and even an open world mode.

I was working on one, but I didn’t finish it.

I made the game cards using HTML. If you know a little HTML you can use this source code: https://github.com/luizbills/draftcrawl-cards

But I can make a template using the Inkscape (SVG) if you want. Unfortunately I don’t know how to use Photoshop or other mainstream softwares.

Would love to have the template, at least for the card borders... feel like there's a lot of potential for expansion!

Does an SVG template help you?

I think so, yes!
