I was trying to import an image with a 50% drop shadow on it, but as soon as i load it onto itch.io it becomes solid, here it is:

on aseprite:

on itch.io:

does anyone know how to fix this?    (btw the image is a .gif if that affects it at all)

Is this for a profile picture, or a screenshot for a project?

It’s possible sometimes when you export a gif image that it automatically removes transparency, is it a good idea to check if you can view the exported .gif file with an image viewer to confirm it still has transparency?

it's a screenshot for a project, and I'll try the image viewer method

Yep, the .gif has lost it's translucent pixels, I'll try and find a way to solve this, thanks @afloofdev!

p.s. I just made the dropshadow pure black

.gif does not support alpha transparency blending (pixels can only be opaque or transparent), you will need to use a .png

thanks! I'll keep that in mind
