Game doesn't run because of sprites

Hello!

So, it seems like the sprites I edited for my translation forbid my game from running once I upload it. At first I thought it had something to do with the translation files, but in the end it was actually the sprites. In fact, now that I uploaded a translated version with the unedited sprites, it works.

Does someone have any idea why this happens? I simply used Paint (lol I'm no designer, and this way sounded the easiest to me) to edit them; then I moved them into the proper folder without changing the name of the file nor the extension.

Thank you :)

Make sure that your game.zip file does not contain a top folder, and that the you have deleted the unzipped "game" folder!

I just checked it, and this doesn't seem to be the problem: no top folder and no unzipped "game" folder

Thanks for the reply

It SHOULD contain a top folder, actually! When you open the zip you should only see one main folder (which contains everything).

The main folder "not-enough-time-LocJam-103 does contain" a top folder where I can find all the other files, but the "game" zipped folder does not have a top folder: when I open it I can find the "assets" folder straight away.

My bad, I was thinking about the main one, not the "game" one.

Thanks, anyway, and great job with your translation, by the way! I'm playing right now :)

Were you able to solve this? I'm having the same issue.

I did not solve this :(
