A tiny Pico-8 minesweeper-like!

This is my first full game after trying to learn game dev and programming.

I would appreciate any feedback or comments!

I have updated the game so that the tutorial works now!

The game has had an update!

The game is pretty neat! There seems to be a chance for the enemy to miss when they attack. I assume it decreases with the tougher enemies? If not maybe you could have some sort of streak mechanic where not hitting a squid block after a certain amount gives you some bonus other than score like evasion. I could imagine a little multiplier that has different stages of shakyness for the feel. But thats just spit ballin. For your first game this is tightly made.

Also the floating crosshair was a nice touch too.

Thank you for giving my game a try. I appreciate the feedback. I created the game in Pico-8 so I have a very small amount of space to do anything for a game. I'm almost at the token limit as it is but I will try and work on gaining more tokens.

Tried your game and yapped on the game page! And this is your first game, very well done in that respect. I know how it feels to work with limitations, and it seems like you were able to make the most out of what you had. Really cool!

My game's over here if you'd like to lmk what you think on the game page: https://wasabiiii.itch.io/grass-elemental-demo-demo; ...You can probably see my preference for the retro style there lol.

EDIT: Ooooh you also made CHIPPY! That was a kickass game too. I must have advertised GE to you already lol :P

Hey! Thank you! I always appreciate the feedback! You did tell me about your game. I had a look at it but haven't managed to play it. I will try and give it a play this week. Thanks again though!
