It was really fun! Despite the bug that messed up targeting it was very nice, and the new desk/systems were awesome. I love the new sounds added while signals are processing and the overall sounds of the machines working, perhaps we could get some clicking noises like those in Signal Sim? Though that probably wouldn't suit some peoples preferences, especially those who prefer more casual ambience in the main room.  I also don't know if that's realistic lol. Only problem with the new setup is that it seems the signals play a little longer than they appear on the screen, but it's not that big of a deal. I also saw a UFO fly past the sky for the first time which was pretty soon but cool.  If anyone wants to add their thoughts feel free to. Can't wait for the polished full release of 8.2!

Don't know where else to put this so - Scroll mode is broken! seems to be a lot of server related issues this update. I activated it but j and k did not work, disabling and reenabling it did not fix it.

Had basically almost the same experience but I had to turn off Velma Mode due to the snow covering up the glasses constantly. I think the new signal scanner station is very good, but it misses a lot of critical points of composition that the previous one had. The old station was all white and every button was colored, now I can barely tell where everything is. The old layout for the filter and polarity part of the station was clean and allowed you to easily see the percentages just by glancing,  but the new one adds this useless "volume bar" type visual element that takes up useful space. If they could make the stations less colorful and less clunky on the filter/polarity part then everything would be great again.

There are percentage at bottom-right where other values are

Not what I was saying. The previous screen was clean and easy to read, allowing for efficient and quick actions. With that volume bar thing in the way, it's only harder to do stuff like that, not to mention MOVING THE DETECTOR PERCENTAGE UP FOR SOME REASON??? I have to wonder who said this was a good idea. In a perfect world, the percentages would be right next to the oscillator visualizers.

I don't really see any problem with it at all, all information is still visible at all times even while zoomed in. Maybe I'm just good at paying attention to several things at once, I don't know.

im pretty sure its supposed to be like this considering the lore implications. its not meant to be pleasant to look at, and its a miracle that its still working despite years of being unmaintained.

the company wanted cheap, top of the line equipment and they got what they wanted at the dismay of the employees.
