Filter games by file format (other than windows, linux, max)

Hi, I am trying to discover games for my "The Spectrum" console that are available as .tap or .tzx files. I can't get the search to display these. I can of course filter by ZX Spectrum but I get a lot of games displayed that are programmed for windows, linux or mac and do not offer .tap or .tzx files.

Is it possible to search for games that are available in .tap and .tzx file format?

Thanks so much,

Damian

How would the developer think that people would find the game without a fitting tag? I had a quick look at the three or more tags used by those, and I often see those .tap files zipped.

So my guess is, that there are some games that are tagged zx spectrum, but only have a windows version. But all the projects that can be played on the retro console also have these tags. Filtering for .tap would not do you any good, but remove those projects from your search that have the tap files zipped.

This idea is cursed. Every time someone proposes it, a huge flamewar starts. It's so cursed, even trying to explain why it happened last time causes a flamewar. I'm sorry.

There is no way to search by file extension within Itch.

You can search by file name or by tag, tags are arbitrarily placed by the developer of each game and are not mandatory (except the one that indicates if your game has NSFW content), so there is no guarantee that when you search, you will find what you have in mind.

ok thanks guys and apologies for bringing it up, don't want to start a flamewar :-)

will "comb the dessert" of zx spectrum games and atari games manually then :-)
