Issues I personally found

So this is just gonna be a thread of whatever I found in the game that doesn't work as of v1.1.1I may delete or cross out stuff here like this based on what gets fixed or clarified.

Updated based on what I find. Read the entire thread I don't only post here.

1) Meadow battleback is not loading.  Fixed in v1.1.1.

2) Labyrinthic Ruins are broken, I'm pretty sure? I press on the two gargoyles yet the roadblock is not cleared. This renders my 1.1.0 save softlocked. Had to import my old 1.0.6 one ← Couldn't replicate, remains unsolved.

3) Lost Notes: Volume II text seems to not fit into the text box on a few occasions Works in v1.1.1.

4) Malicia's dialogue in the battle itself is not translated. Also the inn dialogue in softsnow city is not translated too, idk italian but i will try finding more untranslated stuff  Translated in v1.1.1.

4.1) Wolf-like familiar battle dialogues (all of them) are not translated Translated in v1.1.1.

4.2) Craftable armour descriptions in Goldoasis City (and an NPC in Foggy Cave) are not translated. Excluded, thanks Dribio! The NPC comment still stands though. (the NPC is the girl on the 3rd floor) Translated in v1.1.1.

5) Ylva's triple arrow skills (5 & 15 TP) give this message: "Theolized SBS: Error occurred on RPG::Actor in ID 7 Undefined sequence key "" for skill phase This is your fault. Not this script error!" Yes, this crashes your game. Fixed in v1.1.1.

6) Rocky Cave's rock at the entrance gives a Speed Up when broken but does not show up in the inventory Works in v1.1.1.

Hello! I thank you first of all for trying my game. At the time I write this reply, you have listed three problems, so I will respond item by item. Let us now go into the details:

1) What do you mean by “Meadow battleback”? Do you mean the grassland background in general? Or perhaps the battleback background of a specific game area?
EDIT: The problem occurs in the Restless Forest, noted. It will be fixed as soon as possible with the advent of the next patch. In case there are other locations, please let me know.

2) This point jumped out at me, reasoning that I decided to test the game immediately. The result is that, in a quick test related solely to solving the area puzzle (resulting in opening the locked gate) the game seems to go smoothly. Could you specify in what manner this happens? Did you perform any particular event prior to this?

3) Nothing of concern, thank you for the report! Unfortunately, in the translation transition from Italian to English, lines of dialogue can slip through. In any case, I congratulate you for managing to find a secret!
EDIT: The text is too long for the dialog box, noted, will be fixed in the next patch.

I went through the shifting forest first before the ruins. No idea if that is related. In v1.0.6 I didn't have problems with this so I ported my save and am playing on it now. So I genuinely have no idea what caused this

Can't post photos from PC so here's some bad quality photos of an error I got after facing Red Jellies on this map

Developer(+1)

Hello SwordyNate, and thanks for the reports! I'm sorry you had to deal with these incoveniences.
I am in the process of correcting - and testing - what you listed. I plan to release the corrective patch as soon as possible.
I see you've progressed quite a bit with gameplay, so I'll take this moment to thank you again for the opportunity to play my game! :)

If there are any other problems or concerns, please feel free to write to me!

Any estimates on when there's a new patch? Don't wanna rush, just wanna know if that's possible at the moment

Found another crash. Lost Notes - Volume IV gives this error when trying to pick up.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Hello SwordyNate!
If all goes well, I think this week the game may get the patch. Through these bug reports, of course, the time may stretch a little bit, but I will try to test and get the corrective patch out as quickly as possible.

At the moment, the problems you listed above have mostly been corrected. It still remains to be seen whether these sudden crashes afflict the English version alone more or not.

Regarding the Lost Note: Volume IV, it is probably due to a text display error, just like that of Volume II, and other text boxes.
Instead, sudden crashes may take longer to correct, but, as mentioned above, I will try to balance speed and correction as best I can.

EDIT: I just read about the Goldoasis City armors, that is not a translation problem, as the inscriptions were specially made in Latin (with meaning), not in Italian, but thanks anyway for pointing out the rest!

Thanks again for your support! :)

Ah, I didn't look closely enough to realise they were in Latin... Thanks for the clarification. I'll wait for the patch before continuing (mostly because of Ylva's skills not working and the Lost Notes bug - my slight perfectionism is not gonna let this one go...).

Regardless of the bugs, fun game! Before you returned with v1.1.0 I was actually convinced the game was dead... and I couldn't progress in v1.0.6 because of softlocks. They're fixed now so that's amazing

Developer(+1)

No problem with the Latin language issue; it was not obvious given the dialogue boxes that remained in Italian.

I have already applied some of the corrections you listed, and at the same time I am testing it.

Considering that I also have my personal commitments, it happened that at one time I put the project on hold, but the abandonment of it is not in question, on this I want to give you my greatest reassurance. The teaser of the third arc, in fact, was created precisely to obviate that “dead” period of time.

I am glad that, even with some flaws, you are enjoying the game!

I'll take this opportunity to say that I imagine you imagined some theory about the Lost Notes, or about some characters, such as Ylva. :)

Thank you for your support!

Developer(+1)

Hello SwordyNate!
I just released the corrective update, the version is 1.1.1.
I would like to sincerely thank you for your bug reports.
If there are any other problems or concerns, please feel free to contact me!
I wish you a good adventure in Jento Chronicles: Reawakening! :)

So far found no issues, so neat. Any clue on how to find the "bizarre character" you need coal, gold, rubies and diamonds for? Or have they not been implemented yet?

Also a bit confused about the abandoned house in Goldoasis City, does the woman and son exist? Or is that just nothing/hasn't been implemented yet? Where do I find them

Waiting for this, mostly because I'm trying to understand whether I haven't looked somewhere or those characters actually aren't in the game as of now

Developer(+1)

Hello SwordyNate!

The bizarre character to whom the items refer is the Water Valley trader introduced in version 1.1.0. In short, in that town, there was a seemingly useless stand (the one near Driel's tent for short). Once you land in the desert, however, you can trade these minerals in exchange for special items. There is an NPC in Warmdune City who also has a kinship with this character, which we can take as a kind of hint to go back and check. :)

As for the story concerning Goldoasis City, it's "only" a dark and gloomy story, but that could be deepened in the last story arc, or why not, in more... :)

Noted, thanks. Went to the merchant and the list says I need three pieces of ruby for a Potential up, but I have four and he doesn't accept them - does the merchant actually require five pieces of ruby? Either way I'll be on the lookout for materials and such - not sure if they're just in the desert, though, but I'll keep looking.

Developer

Hi SwordyNate!
The problem you described regarding ruby pieces was due to incorrect variable entry in the game data. I have updated the game to version 1.1.2, and with it, fixed several minor bugs, including, precisely, the problem you described.
I apologize for the wait in responding! I wish you a good adventure in Jento Chronicles: Reawakening! :)
