Hey the Stop Motion (Game) Jam is starting up again and will run through the month of May this year! You can sign up right here on itch.io!

I've been running this jam for 4 years now and am going to stay very approachable when it comes to art and game development/design help so please feel free to message me on Discord or Twitter!, amidst the coronavirus keeping most indoors with social distancing, I think this could be one of our most active years yet.. so if you are interested in joining, helping others, and knowing more about the jam itself; obligatory web links are posted below.

Join our Discord, follow our Twitter, and bookmark the website for more information as it draws near!

Nice, I just featured it on the jams page.

Hey thanks!

Awesome. I love the handcrafted/miniature aesthetic, which is not a surprise to anyone given how often my game projects use it:

I.e. Vivid Minigolf, Miniature Multiverse. To name two. But I won't be participating in this jam, I'm afraid.

Still, I'm curious what some of you will do with this!

Very cool Matt, I'll have to check it out!

Hi, there! I am very excited to participate in another Stop Motion Jam. I'm wondering if you would consider adding a Community tab to the jam page on itch so participants without Twitter can ask questions and discuss. The reason I looked for a Community tab today was to tell other jam, participants about Spasm. Spasm is a simple batch photo editor specifically for stop motion that I created after the last Stop Motion Jam. It allows me to resize, crop, and green-screen any number of photos at once while seeing a real-time mock-up of how my finished animation might look. It has saved me literally hundreds of hours of tedious grunt work on the stop motion projects that I've done since the last jam. Because of Spasm, I will be able to do a more ambitious project this year than last.  Here is a video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlHRSuZR7U0&t=1s  Spasm is available for free on my itch page for anyone who wants to give it a try. I've included the source code in case any jammers want to make their own fancier custom version.

Hey H. H. Magoo!, great idea and thanks for participating and bringing this up! I've enabled the jam's community forum, feel free to add your tool to it I will make some more channels later today! Happy jamming ✌️
