What can I do to make my game known to more players.

Currently I have released three VR games. Is there any promotion method on Itch? What can I do to make my game known to more players. Does ITCH have any measures on promotion? I would like to know, thank you!

You can make sure to have distinctive titles for your games, a good set of tags, and post devlogs. That will help on Itch, but you should do your own promotion as well, on social media and so on.

Beware that Air Ranger isn't going to be indexed, because you're only selling a text file with a Steam key. That's not the way to do it. Please either sell the game on Itch. or else just add a link to Steam on the game's edit page.

Thanks for your answer! I want to learn more. How to get the recommended position of ITCH? I followed ITCH's facebook and reddit. Is there an official discord? Or whatever media can get in touch.Looking forward to your reply.

Yes, there is an official Discord, as mentioned in this pinned topic right at the top of General Discussion. You're welcome to join, it's a good way to hear about new games and promote yours.

Is there any event about VR games

I don't claim to be an expert by any stretch.  But have you tried interacting with other creators here on itch?

By that I mean, give feedback on there games, reply to devlogs, just show interest in general.

It would seem most of us here are in the same boat as you, struggling to get noticed.

In my personal experience, I have got the most feedback on my game from people who I have given feedback to.

And I am much more likely to try someones game if they have shown interest in mine first.

Just my 2cents, good luck with your VR games mate, I hope it all goes well for you!  :)

Thank you very much!

Thank you for sharing your experience, it will be very helpful for me.

Unfortunately, I don't have VR.

But if I did, I'd give your games a go!  :)

nos podemos ayudar entre los dos

Itch isn't the greatest place to get noticed, but it is the greatest place to make custom gamepages. I would suggest indiedb to get noticed, where one article can net you hundreds of views, however, I absolutely hate their gamepage layout and not all articles make it to the homepage. Write some long posts about your games or VR in general, then funnel players back to Itch.

VR is sort of a premium format and most players on Itch are looking for free or cheap indie games IMO.

Your best bet is, as has already been mentioned, to focus on announcements elsewhere and direct people back to your Itch.IO page.

The creation of relevant, targeted announcements across various social media platforms outside the Itch.IO community has been going pretty well for me, I am drawing in 20-50 views across my profile daily lately, and that is not considering what is about to happen when my next sale starts in roughly 3 hours. From April 10-12, 2020, I will be dropping my prices pretty dramatically.
