Automatic sex between characters

The debate in the topic "sex epiphany" has drifted to a side-debate which IMO deserves an own topic.

Currently all sexual encounters between characters are initiated manually by the player. Should there be a way to let characters have sex automatically?

Sweet_Dreams suggested to have a "sex schedule" for each character:

As for the micromanaging, each slave could get a sex schedule, or just an option to automatically take care of sex needs. Slaves that like each others could be paired (or threesomed, or foursomed) so they take their breaks together, and the master's interaction is only necessary when you want particular pairings.

The developers replied that this might be too much work to implement:

I elaborated on the idea to allow (or deny) slaves to have sex when they feel like it by adding a "sexual autonomy" setting. The player would get a (non-intrusive) notification when that happens allowing them to peek or join in if they want to:

There could be a "sexual autonomy" setting where the player can decide for each slave separately whether or not they are permitted to engage in consensual sex with other slaves, demand sex from other slaves and/or are obligated to fulfill demands for sex from other slaves.

Per default I would see that scene playing out off-screen. The sex system mechanics already work pretty fine without the player actively doing anything, so having a sex scene entirely off-screen shouldn't be that difficult. But considering that the game now works in time increments of one hour, it would also be possible to show some kind of notification for an ingame-hour saying that two characters are getting it on right now. The player should then be allowed to peep and/or join in if they want to (starting a regular sex scene with the two characters).

I would not do this as a modal popup event the player is forced to interact with, because that might get quite annoying in the long run. I would rather do it as an icon in the character list or a toast notification which can be easily ignored if the player does not care right now.

Anyone have any more thoughts on that matter?

I like the idea of slave rankings, and I think in a game about sex and slaves, sex should be a lot more present. The social skills should also be more useful than just increasing numbers; serving another slaves should actually take them both to the bedroom, and sex skills could be assigned to be automatically used whenever needed / ordered to.

In the first Strive game, a window appears from time to time in which an action was described including one or more NPCs, which would then be solved with a multiple choice selection in several ways. I think it would be great if this were to be implemented again.
It would also be nice if you could somehow increase the number of interactions per day without manipulating the code.

I would see this automatic sex system to replace these random events.

A disobedient but horny slave might ignore the autonomy settings and have sex without the master's permission. When they have a violent personality, they might even do it with characters who didn't consent. In that case the player should be able to decide how to handle the incident. Punish the disobedient minion? Break them up but do nothing? Let them? Join in?

Is that somehow related to this topic? If not, you might want to start a separate one.

This is not directly part of the topic, but it has to do with the basic topic. There is also a separate topic for more interactions per day, but I thought that in connection with the random events this is closer to the original topic of your post than just the random events.
