Renaming Suggestion: Misleading stat name - Growth

The thing that first thing came to my mind when I saw the Growth stat was the Limit. That what I was scared most so the first thing I did was max it out on my precious fraternal twin sister 2nd char slave-companion.

Do not be disturbed, I actually love the current soft cap system on Class. I completely agree with its implication that the hardworking will be rewarded no matter how talented they are they will get there eventually as long as they are willing to work for it.

And after I got more familiar with the system I grew to completely disregard the Growth stat because it is not imposing nearly any true limitations to the person. Because I realized that the Growth stat is the Growth Speed not the Growth Limit. In fact if our 2nd char companion has the high Growth stat, he/she char is actually less powerful late game compared to Low Growth one which is quite counter intuitive.

Thus I formally request the stat to be renamed as either Growth Speed or "what I think it fits better" Talent.

I think it means better in context on how much effort a person needs to put into to grow. More talented char will need less effort (exp) than the less talented, but both will get there in the end.

TL;DR:

Suggestion 1: Rename Growth into Talent

Suggestion 2/Mod request: Allow Main char to lower his Growth stat for extra stats, so that he can allocate them somewhere else. Yes, I know I can just save-edit it but I simply like to play by rules (even if its using mods it feels better, because  for me you are choosing game on ummm easier or higher difficulty) more than just outright cheat (which save-editing is). Man I gotta get into the godot documentation... zzzzzzz...

Growth seems to relate more towards physical size, current maturity, speed of learning, or potential. I think there was mention of a soft cap in the description of the stat. The argument above is valid if everyone has has the same max potential, but growth only the limiting factor on how fast you can reach your max potential, then growth is slightly bit misleading, but most replacements have similar subtext. Tame and Timid both also seem to suffer from lack of usefulness, as once you cap loyalty and/or submission, they become less relevant compared to combat and productivity stats, potentially penalizing you for investing in them. Short term/long Term pay offs, where the long term part is seemingly 0 pay off.

I'd probably like to have growth/timid/tame slaves (really) early, but slow witted, fearless, wild slaves later. Combat and crafting stats are just so much more useful early on that it makes it better to start with the the powerful slaves and stay with them.

A slave with a good growth stat, should probably increase the soft cap, and unlock classes faster, giving it long term and short term benefits to compete. A pure growth character should probably be pretty skilled classwise, but not very good at any particular things due to a lack of stat synergy.

I don't believe 'talent' will make more sense than growth. Changing the name of it can be done easily from 'main.gd' file, which stores all namings and text.

Tame/timid stats will be likely playing role in other things later on.

"Potential" makes more sense to me. It's how much they can grow before they hit their soft cap peak.

What about calling it "learning curve", "attention span" or maybe  "attentiveness". It's still just a way to measure the exp cost of each new class, but (to me) it implies that someone who pays more attention can pick up things with relative ease and thus "learn" more quickly than someone who gets distracted easily or that has a naturally slower learning process. Some people just need to look at a book and get what it means, while others need to read it a couple of times until the implicit message drops on them.

It feels less about paying attention, and more about how much your brain can take before it overflows. It's how high you can go, not how quickly you get there.
