Some clients don't work under Direct3D

Howdy.

Various Novetus clients don't work well with Direct3D, at least for me. I get an error message saying that my graphics drivers seem to be too old, despite them being up to date.

I've tried doing the following:

  1. Opening the maps in another client - it works there
  2. Using OpenGL - works but some stuff is glitchy, specifically the shadows and transparency
  3. Updating my graphics drivers - again, they're on the latest version
  4. Reinstalling Novetus - I've done it twice and still the same message.

I really wouldn't know what else it could be. I've tried everything at this point and nothing seems to work. Even switching back to before the 1.2 snapshot still gives the error messages.

Any help would be appreciated. Ty, Frix

08/02 EDIT: As of Novetus 1.2.4.1, I no longer get these errors.

Could depend on the hardware you have. What's your computer specs?

  • Intel Core i7-9700
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER
    Windows 10 Home 64-bit

If it helps any.

This is kinda odd, I have no idea what could be causing it. Either it doesn't like the GPU (not likely, correct me if im wrong) or it could be something else.

This is a known issue and it was identified to be in 2010L. I dont know how I could fix the issue, as i have it myself. As for 2011 clients, I do not have this issue in 2011.

The only fix for this is to run the client/s in OpenGL mode for now.
