In the past week, I once again completed some art assets and integrated them into the game engine. During our last playtest session, our team members realized that those responsible for the art also needed to learn how to import these assets into the engine and set up all the parameters and formats. This will greatly assist the main programmers' subsequent work and reduce their workload. My main design work was on some parts needed in the mini-game, such as cooling fans and a receptacle, each type of part including both an intact state and a damaged state. I also set up an animation for the electric fan, making its blades appear to be spinning.
After implementing the art assets, players in the latest playtest expressed their appreciation for the game's visual presentation, believing it made the game's objectives clearer, unlike the abstractness of the previous prototype.
I was also responsible for writing the moderator script, recommendations, and conclusions in the playtest report. Drawing from the observations and feedback collected during the playtest, I formulated a series of detailed recommendations aimed at enhancing the game's usability, improving the player's experience, and addressing any technical issues identified. These recommendations were based on direct insights from playtesters, highlighting areas such as control responsiveness, narrative clarity, and visual consistency.
