Interesting little game!
I unfortunately rage-quit due to the goalpost moving constantly. I am not sure the rest of the level design felt "rage"-y enough to make the goalpost moving feel fair.
Otherwise the level design felt good (I believe I made it to Level 3). Perhaps check the block detection on the player, as it sometimes felt like I died because the movement keys were still registering even though I was not fully on the next block yet.
Overall well done!
Edit: I thought of a solution for the goalpost. Perhaps make the animation a smooth "flying" animation when it moves and have it do so a little earlier than it does now. This would make it feel more fair, I believe...
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll consider these issues. By the way, the movement uses a whole-number method—whenever the player presses a key, they move to the center of the next tile. There’s no smooth movement like in other games; the player simply snaps to the tile. However, I added smoothing to make it look like the player is walking to the tile.
The movement itself is good! It is only for me, it seemed like the game would sometimes register a new direction press before the player had reached the centre of the tile. And I would un-expectedly fall to my demise!
Cool troll levels. The only thing missing is music. Otherwise, it's a cool game.
That was fun! I liked how the levels themselves changed, and levels are short so it’s not a big loss even if you fall.
