This is one fun and quirky game. Where most people saw the negative side of this theme, you saw comedic and arcade fun. I respect that.

Your game is very hard but also fair. All my mistakes were my own and I feel like I can improve if given time. It was soild and addicting. Great work.

The first thing come to my mind is the classic snake game, but updating old games is something I like, the only thing is that you could explain the game a little more, good done.

A very unique and fun entry! The only problem is that there isn't a tutorial to explain the mechanics. Nice work though!

A unique and interesting idea, very well executed.

The art was very nice and the palette option is something I've yet to see someone else use. The music was joyful but chaotic. The gameplay and mechanics were very interesting and the game was very well polished. I liked the inclusion of the leaderboard and it definitely encouraged me to keep playing a few more runs to aim for a better high score. Having the players abilities tied to the "Jimmies" was interesting as taking too much damage meant losing damage output, and it was fun to try different setups. It fit the 1-bit rule and the theme perfectly.

Overall, a very fun game with near infinite replay ability.

I didn’t fully get what was going on some of the time, but it felt great! Loved the colour palette choice. I thought the power ups could do with some visual coding and maybe tutorials to make the upgrade decisions easier, but that’s a lot to ask for a jam game! Felt very fluid but also chaotic in a good way. Great music as well!

Powerup visual feedback (but also the feedback for pickups) were on one of my to-do lists but sadly didn't make it in haha. Time constraints D: Maybe prioritizing a palette swapper was a bad call by me :D

I'm glad you enjoyed the chaos and the game! Thank you for playing!

The palette swapper was something unique though!

Cool idea! I like that you gave the ability to choose a palette. Gameplay was fun and the screen became wonderfully chaotic as things progressed!

The music and aesthetics were nice, too. I think I would enjoy feeling more powerful with stronger attacks and tougher enemies to balance it out.

Nice job!

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the aesthetics, it took me a bit to get music that sorta fit the vibe I was going for :)

As for the balance, I agree! It was very hard to balance it around different builds- I'm hoping to get back to it post-jam, more abilities, a better "upgrade"/"shopping" system, more enemies, and hazards ^^

Very enjoyable snake game with a leveling system and a cute pixel art)
