Fun game. I do wish there was some "Hard Mode" with 6 wires or something because it's a bit easy and when you get it you really want more (guess that's the problem with a 20 second game jam, lol). Hope you add more in the future!
Interesting idea with 6 wires, but I’m not sure about how its easy to make for player to cut a wire in that window. So now its 4, and cutting exact wire can be not easy; and if its 6 or more, that area will be more packed and player cuts will be even less precise.
I like it. One of my ideas was a bomb defusal game but I couldn't think of fun game mechanics to go along with it. Took me few tries to understand what exactly I'm supposed to do but once I got it it's fun. It's sometimes hard to cut at the exact time, especially without the cutter slowdown (it may feel like a powerup instead of a negative bonus). Similarly -10 second penalty seems to harsh because it pretty much means game over.
Yeah maybe. I was thinking that its doable to track 4 wires for 20 seconds, actually only 3 because last one will be obvious. The idea was to force track wires instead of spamming the “cut”. Again, that’s the idea. Was it achieved? I guess not so much :) If penalty is low – it encourages spamming; if high – it makes any mistake more deadly. Not sure where is golden middle ground.
About 10 seconds penalty. I played with 5 seconds, and it felt like you just spam and 8/10 times you win, so i tried to address that with this change.
