nice game! An interesting twist on the jam theme

Simple, but fun! Love seeing a rare GameMaker game in the wild too.

It'd be nice to have the controls on-screen before starting. A restart key would also be cool, although it's kinda funny how the game just goes black when time is out.

The sound effects are a little loud (is that Bfxr I hear? :D). I'd recommend trying to match the volume to some of the other games being posted here.

Thanks for playing! I'll definately start work on these suggestions. Really glad that you enjoyed the simple vibe. That's what I was going for.  As for the black screen of doom at the end of the game, I'm not sure how to fix it. For know I guess it's just a punishment for running out of time. Thanks again!

This is a fun and chill little game. I would have liked to have seen more rooms.

Glad you enjoyed it!

In my opinion, the game is just perfect for a game jam.

Thanks so much!

Is it possible to get the same room more than once in a row? There were a few instances where I collected the "room end" gem only to jump back to the start as if I died.

I wish the jump was a little quicker and less tall - bumping my head on the ceiling when jumping feels a little disorienting and makes it hard to get my bearings.

This was a creative use of the jam theme! I appreciated that there was a strategic component. In each room, I had to quickly evaluate whether it was worth chasing down the clocks en route to the goal, or whether I would save more time by taking the shortest path to the finish. High-score runs of this are probably impressive to watch!

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, sometimes if you go to the next room it is the same room that you were in before. I might update the game so that there are more areas to go through. Thanks for playing!
