Won't comment too much on the gameplay since that is taken from Deltarune; to iterate on it would just be seeing DR's strengths/weaknesses and taking notes. Patterns are fair, though the myturn guy predicts your movement a bit too much. The strength as people said before is the aesthetics - palette shows a lot of self restraint, and each area is clearly defined with a range of hues (golden area vs blue area) which makes the contrast feel so strong. The palette feels inherently nostalgic because it resembles older games. The high saturation is used very sparingly to bring attention to important setpieces like the giant pile of bodies and the blood on the walls, which all contributes to world building and intrigue. Also, good separation between background and foreground even without the use of tilemap-like sprites. Perhaps the player character could use some more separation from the world, but everything is still pretty easy to read, not cluttered. Would love to see more of the mysterious setting.

GAWD THIS GAME HAS AURA. Fantastic source of inspiration heh heh but also adding your entirely unique flair to it, the visual and audial identity is so strong and well done. Mysterious characters with charming personalities, mysterious set pieces, the INCREDIBLE 3D sequence with all the effects and ghostly winds (however it may be a little *too* much lol).. aura I say. Unfortunately I was unable to get the intended way to play since I use Windows, and there were softlocks where the player sprite during battles never entered the battle box :( Some tweaking of the battle system UI and attack sizes would also be helpful. Despite the bugs I face, I still adore this submission. Both games of yours I've played I've been awed by your visual style, I can certainly call myself a fan :D

I have never been so disappointed that the screen didn't fit. I want to play this game in all it's glory so bad. The style is just amazing, I love the 3D art so so much, please continue working on it, it's just so beautiful!

Beautiful art and atmosphere. Obvious bugs aside, I think this has a lot of promise. Only things I'd recommend tweaking would be to make the bullet hell segments a bit easier (i.e. My Turn's hands are almost as wide as the rectangle you can move in, so it's hard to judge what you can actually dodge). Also I really like the first person area but you might want to make it just a bit less blurry. I like how hard it is to see but I feel like you lose out on almost TOO much detail (idk how to explain it, I might just have a layer of dust on my monitor that makes it look worse for me specifically). Great stuff overall!

I uploaded a backed-up older version of the game onto my page in which the health system works properly(no permanent-death and cross combat health). It shouldn't be included in the jam judging, but it's there for anyone who wants to play it.
