  • I totally get it, it's like, whatever. I loved how you did the maps and the fact that they change at the end, very cool. The battle aspect was a bit unbalanced, but that can easily be fixed. It's a fun little game.
  • Hey there :). Not a lot of things to say. Some missing asset, but you already know it. Too much battles, imo. Let the player rest a little. :) The story is not bad, but you should explain a bit more what's happening at the end, i feel you wanna share a message, but it's a bit hard to understand it at this point. The old man was dead all this time and because he didn't join the realm of the girl, the village was cursed or something like that ? Anyway, thank for your submission, see ya :). Drag.

What a disaster. I'm going to rework this game, clear up the plot, fix the battles and deploy it correctly.  Oh and give it an actual title.

It'll be longer and tell the story I didn't have time to tell  without having too much text.  I'm struggling with this whole experience but like they say: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Thanks to everyone who played it and offered criticism. I truly appreciate it!

I wasn't really sure what was going on. I felt like there may have been too many battles, and a lack of balance. It feels like it may have been a joke game, but tried to take itself seriously at the end. I'm not really sure to be honest.

Thanks for giving it a try.

Jam Judge

Heya! Don't know if you saw this yet (been busy so I might have lost track), but we did a high level overview of your Game Jam entry last week. Here is a link to the video if you want to see what we have to say:

(1 edit)

Looking forward to playing this more, as I'm digging the semi-comedic post-apocalyptic tone.

I wasn't able to get past the first battle. After being attached by the Slime, I got a missing asset error:

Loading Error: Failed to load: img/animations/Howl.png

It seems that he used "exclude unused files" function when he was deploying the game but that function removed files that are actually used in the game

So to fix that you need to find "audio" and "animations" folders in the game files and replace these folders with the same folders from another gamejam game

Tho if you replace these folders with folders from a game that also excluded unused files that wont work

Er... Why is there just an executable? Where is the rest? How is the game working with the executable alone?

Thank you for the comment.   I wasn't sure what I was doing, but I now uploaded the Zip file of the whole game.

Thank you. Now that I could play it, I have a few things to say about it:

- Game breaking bug: going back to the starting house causes the character to disappear and seems immobilized (the player still have access to the menu, a player saving at this point and time would have a ruined save file)

- The battle theme is not overly dramatic at all for common enemies. XD

- Maybe some items require descriptions? Like... What does the Shadow Ring do for example. It doesn't seem to change my stats and there is no description to tell me what it actually does.

Anyway, that's an interesting idea you got. I wish you good luck for the game jam.

Good grief. Thanks again. I fixed the issues.  I wish you good luck, too!
