Loved the visuals, nice concept well-executed. Reminded me of the Atari 2600 ADVENTURE -- high praise, I loved that game. I got pretty far, through three or four doors.

Awesome! Glad you enjoyed the game, high praise indeed!

3-4 doors is pretty good, I have only managed to beat it once and I think there is around 5-6 doors before the final boss.

Thanks for the positive feedback.

The visuals and style are beautiful. The spells were cool but I always needed more mana. I think some quick smooth movement from tile to tile would add a lot. Great Jam with good replayability!

Smooth animation was on the Todo list but didn't make the cut in time for the deadline. I agree it would definitely add a lot :) I will definitely be adding some minor tweaks to potions and pick ups in future.

Hi, nice game!

Developer

Thank you :)

I love 2D sprites in 3D environments. In that regard Sentinal of Cyrux definitely did not disappoint! It felt very satisfying to use the fire spell around multiple enemies. Solid entry to the jam!

Developer

Thanks! I love that aesthetic as well and new right away I was going to have a go at it for this jam.

I love the visuals and atmosphere ... just from looking at the screenshots.

Unfortunately, tried running three times in (Chrome) browser and when clicking start it crashed badly. Had to kill Chrome processes.

:-( And I'm on Mac, download does not work.

Developer(+1)

Sorry to hear you ran into this issue :( I tried it on a Mac with Firefox and can confirm that the browser freezes up when loading the 3D scene. Also seems to happen on another of my browser games. I have a hunch that I should have exported from Godot using GLES2 not GLES3.. Something I will definitely look into. Thanks for the feedback and glad that you like the visuals!

Brilliant visual atmosphere, overall solid game!

Thanks! :)

Hey, good job! The visuals are great and it was a good choice of theme. Probably not relevant now, but due to perspective, I would recommend most navigation to be north-sided, where you can have a bit more FOV.

Developer (1 edit)

That's a really good idea re. the FOV. I could probably fix that quite easily by making the level generate bottom to top instead of left to right. I'll put that in the todo list for a future update.

Thanks for the feedback!

Sweet 3d aesthetic… and a solid game overall. Other commenters mentioned a lack of content… but for a jam game I think it’s alright. Congrats

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the game.

PS. I'm trying to not click through for another round of Gorlf :)
