the customization is top tier in this one, with both the positioning and types of equipment being very important.  Its very easy to want to load up with every gun you find but a well layouted and powered ship goes a long way.  At the time I played it (right after the jam ended) I had wanted to see a bit more variety in weapons and enemies but it seems like that is already happening :D

Really cool game! I like the variety of different weapons and equipment you can find, as well the amount of flexibility you get when choosing where to put it. I also really like how you can take weapons from enemies. It adds an interesting  level of strategy to the game when you need to considering how to defeat enemies while trying to save their equipment. One thing I did wish for was some way to recover when all your weapons break. It's a bit frustrating how you essentially have to give up and let yourself die.

I love this game! I really enjoy how I can do repairs or swap out weapons mid fight, but it's still dangerous since the fight continues!

I know there's this whole energy flow mechanic to the game but I usually just plug everything into everything instead of spending much time thinking about it. It's a fun concept, but I haven't felt that it was too necessary to learn how to exploit it.

I really like how many different ways you can play the game. 1 heavily upgrades weapon or many not so upgraded is both viable. Having the different engines really forces your hand on a run and makes you try different builds. I like that!

Maybe something that this game could have would be bosses every so many levels?

I enjoy how the enemies will shoot through each other and I can use enemies as cover. Or using dropped/unused parts as cover. Sometimes I think I can cheese it a bit too hard but.... It's fun!

One thing about the game is that since the enemies drop so much stuff around when they die, it's pretty important for you to keep your ship small and tight. If it gets sprawling it can very easily get caught on pieces and the you kinda get clipped (?) Onto them until you can puzzle your way out.

Love the game hellochar!

Oh my god, this was amazing! It took a few to understand what the hell was going on but once I got the the hang of it, I had loads of fun! My main tactic was to use crap on the battlefield that I didn't want to make chokepoints. Enemies were decent and kept upping their gear every level but I was never in any danger of being killed. I'd suggest making them a bit more powerful/aggressive in later levels. Had a blast! 5/5!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. That's an interesting tactic I haven't tried before. Just added a big update that does include scarier enemies later on!

Okay...sweet Satan's balls this is insanely hard. I'm having an impossible time doing enough damage no matter how much I invest in weapons and mana generation. Also I'm a tad unsure how I can generate more power? Some of the descriptions/terminology have me confused.

Developer

Ha! May have tuned enemies too much the other direction. The main ways you generate more power are by levelling up your player or your engines, but I presume you understand that in general. Is there a specific terminology that's confusing?

Mmk so I leveled up my player and the stat I'm confused about it Overflow Rate. Is that power that goes to my equipment or generation? It doesn't say anything else about power, just healed, health, speed, weight and influence radius

Also quick Q: when I level up Defense Ring, it says the amount of mana I get per damage goes down. does that mean the more I level it up, I'm trading mana gain for HP? Cause that's a nifty mechanic.

Really fun idea! I especially like the aesthetic, very unique!

Wow complex concept. Took me long to get it. Impressive for a 7 day game jam!
