I beat the brakes off so many fish tn... I saw you mention most of your time went into actually learning how to make the grid based system and for seven days that's great progress. The music and sand shuffling were nice to help hold attention and I enjoyed the They Live (or DukeNukem) reference too! In the future give me a shotgun and put me in a room full of carp. No one gets out alive.

Not much variety but I understand the time constraints - 7 days is not very long. The mechanic of leaving the ship is pretty original. I had fun!

Thank you so much for playing! Yeah, most of my time went into learning how to make a grid-based level generation system from scratch, and even then, it only sort of works haha. I'm hoping to come back to this post-jam and add more stuff like enemy variety and scaling.

Yeah procgen is hard, the result turned out pretty good! A post-jam update would be awesome. I'll check back sometime and play again :)

Fish fear me

SFX and art are great. I really like the way the gold coins stack. I’m wanting more enemy variety and stuff to pick up/use. Most of the stuff says “Don’t look at that” (which if that’s a bit it’s funny) and sometimes the levels would spawn doors to the outside. It left me wanting some secret zone where after you catch enough fish and get strong enough you can venture out and kill mermaids or something, but if that exists I couldn’t find it

The "Don't look at that" bit was my solution for a random bug that kept breaking the look feature :P I do have designs for "outside the ship" areas with oxygen mechanics that I'd love to implement. Thank you for playing!!
