Hey, played your game on stream. Check out my thoughts here https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1086568950

Thanks for your feedback. In the new version we are replacing the flashing lights with a blur effect. Also the reason you weren’t able to progress is due to a bug where the door is always in the same place. After the voting period has completed I will upload a fixed web version. This bug is fixed in the downloadable version instead of the web version as due to some git issues i accidentally compiled the web version as an earlier version of the game. I hope you enjoyed our game!

I think everyone else has already said this, but it took me a minute to understand what was going on, but from that point on it was a cool game to play.

I really like how you can see the future, but then go in it when you use the keys, it's like having foresight into what's going to happen next. I think there are lots of possibilities to expand this game.

One comment is that I wish there was a way to cancel your time travel, sometimes you go into the future, realise there's nothing to do, and have to wait to be flung back into the present. Oh, also I kept getting stuck and having to refresh until I realized r restarted.

Really cool game overall!

Yeah we are working on a new version that hopefully makes some of the mechanics clearer. Also in the new version you can cancel your time travel to go back to the present. Thanks for playing our game !

My brain too smol to understand in first place but after a while i understood it. Great game very creative. Graphics were great. Browser version is bit slow but windows Ver. works perfectly.

Developer

Thank you for playing! So glad you like it ;)

It is not very clear in the start what the time manipulation does. But once you realize it changes the level form it get really insteresting. I also loved the visual effects when manipulating time!!

Developer

Yeah we where having some issues with trying to convey how to play the game to the player without breaking the immersion of the game as it is a somewhat complicated concept

The idea of the past / future only affecting a singular level state is a very cool idea, being a very unique take within all the other rewinding / fast-forwarding games. It was a bit confusing at times on what was going to happen, some visual clarity would help a lot with that, with specific some specific sprites maybe.  It took me awhile to know that I had a double-jump, which I think I got from the powerup? Eventually, I did get stuck though and didn't know where to go.

Overall theres a lot of potential here for a nice unique take on the rewinding / fast-forward mechanic, nice job!

Thank you for reviewing and suggestions ! We were also thinking about showing the ability icons of double jump and climbing  in  UI when player got them.
Get stuck usually because player used the key in future level to unlock present level, then in the next level, available key will be hidden in past (but normally still reachable) ;)

Like the idea, I think the music and atmosphere are great together.
I think the theme of time is well executed, and you should be proud of your project :)!

Things that made me lower the score a little;
-the forward/backward sound is quite disruptive and loud (a change in tone for forward/backward would have made a nice addition too!)
-5 seconds is quite some time to wait everytime and grows frustration (atleast for me)
-The dynamic blocks blend in too much with the background

Developer

Thank you!Your advice is really helpful ;)

We are starting to update the audio effect and draw new sprites for the dynamic blocks now !

I was afraid I was a bit too harsh, glad you received it well. Like I said, very well done; be proud of your project!
