What do you like about your game?
I loved making a complete game. It was my goal since the beginning of the jam, so I am very proud. This is the first game I ever made and it taught me A LOT! Had a hard time with the art and specially the lights but loved making those as well.

Great game, well polished.
I like the art and mood of the game.  But some of the jumps and the wall-jump mechanic were a bit hard.
Also the, camera placement/movement feels a bit inconvenient in some places.

But overall, good job!

Thanks, Miichii!

I was having such a hard time with so many things that I didn't even bother adjusting the camera (which obviously was not a good decision).

But now that I have a little bit of free time I will probably tweak some things to make the game better.

Thanks for your feedback!!!

Really great! From the beginning, the movement felt good and I really noticed that the animations of the player character lent an extra sense of momentum with how bouncy he was. The message of the game is, of course, sweet, and fits the theme nicely. My only point of critique would be that some of the wall jumps felt a little too challenging compared to the rest of the game. In particular, there was a string of them that you needed to get all in one go or else retry. At one point, I did them too well and ended up landing on the wall above one of the pads, which ended in a retry anyway because you have to approach the pads from below to get any height off of them. That said, I was thankful for the frequent checkpoints, that was a good call lol. Overall, great game!

Thank you, Cosmonaut!!! It means a lot to me.

Loved that the animations did show to you how bouncy the character was, It was one of my main goals since the beginning (as someone who is  just starting to study art)!

I playtested a lot and maybe this tricked my when adjusting the difficulty of the levels. To me and some friends (who helped playtesting the game), it felt really easy but I received a lot of feedback about how hard the game actually is.

I guess for my future games I won't underestimate how important balancing and level design is!

Thanks!!!! <3

The game will always feel easy to you because you're the one making it. You know exactly how it works and what you're supposed to do, and you're constantly practicing it every time you test it. I think that's why NES games were so notoriously difficult, they had small teams with not many outside playtesters. I think as a rule of thumb it's better to err on the side of making it too easy for you, if you want it to be reasonable for someone else's first play through

Your game  seems great for a first game. I couldnt finish because i had difficulty on some of the jumps but seem a very complete small game. The lights are cool, but if i could say something i would suggest another character sprite for when we touch the wall so we know we can double jump. Congrats.

Thank you, this feedback meant a lot to me!!!

I will probably tweak the levels a little bit to make them easier. Even playtesting with friends a bunch of times I dind't manage to get the difficulty right. Also loved the idea of the wall jumping sprite, will add that for sure!
