What do you like about your game?
Being able to build this I'm really proud of how the gameplay turned out to be, especially considering it was made in just 10 days.

this game was really fun! had to fight through some of the known bugs (i had to consciously make sure to navigate the ui with WASD instead of mouse clicking xd), but outside of that it was pretty cool! shooting down various threats by predicting their movement and how fast both the target and the entity moved felt pretty satisfying everytime a hit landed! loved the space storm upgrade as a safety net, though im not quite sure how upgrading further improves the ability? i'd love if there was some way to get back health, whether it be everytime you level up or a random object spawn that you have to shoot at (acting as a tradeoff and leaving you vulnerable to enemy threats until your next bullet comes through)
the aesthetic looks really nice too, love the vapor-wave aesthetic and the vibrant color palette! the crab and squid sprites look so cute and they feel very expressive too!i like how the stars are animated with extra detail (like the spins) so that they don't feel like they are statically rotating with the player! the UI also looks good and communicative! same goes with the sfx and bgm choices, they feel very fitting!
again, really good base for a game and i can see this getting expanded upon! i don't think i got a good score xd, but this was the highest i got before i think it froze on me (though i was going to die anywas lol). great work!
What a feedback! thank you very very much!
This game looks so cute!
I loved the design choices for both the visuals and the audio.
The game bugged out when I tried adjusting the audio and at the first upgrade screen but considering the jam time constraint, bugs are expected.
Congrats!!!
Thank you!
Unfortunately the game bugged out too much for me to enjoy, but the presentation is gorgeous!!
Really liked the sfx, the retro style look and animations on this... I felt like I was back in the 80s (in a good way!)
I think it would've helped if there was a bit of a tutorial, or extra instructions at the start, just to just an example of what you're meant to be doing in the game... I got it after a few goes, but it was a bit overwhelming to start with.
Clearly you know about the level up issue, so yeah, that happened to me too - the upgrade and game over screen both came up and the same time, but the game still ran in the background (ended up getting a really good score, but still, I'm sure that's not what's meant to happen :) )
Really solid game concept and style though! I like the timed star hits, it's a bit like space invaders at the end as they come closer. Bugs aside, really nice game - I enjoyed it :)
you already know about the upgrade screen issue so i'm not going to mention it here. i believe the sound settings never really did anything, and closing that menu seemed to freeze the game so theres another bug to watch out for. now on the positive side, the game is super charming both with audios and visuals, the style it has is super cool and reminds me of old flash games in a way, while the gameplay is obviously very arcady as is the cover art.
Thank you, leaf. The intention was to be a simple arcade game, with effects that pop on the screen. About the sound settings – your heads-up was a big help in fixing that. Thanks a ton!
The visuals were super nice all around, lots of detail there. It was very satisfying to time your projectiles into the trajectory of the stars, the camera shake was a nice touch. The controls themselves felt good as well. I totally feel you when it comes to last minute issues, I had those too. Overall though the core of the game still shines through, good work!
You got a cute aesthetic here, the colors, the sound effects, the music, the lights and VFX, you clearly put a lot of effort on the graphics. I also got stuck on the first upgrade, clicks wouldn't work on the menu but they would work on the game. Funny thing is that even after I died I could keep shooting and getting points, hahaha
Yeah, you got a cool foundation, it's not finishes but it's understandable given the time constraints but for what I saw, the graphics are pretty nice!
Thank you very much for your super sincere comment. That's exactly what you said, hahahah. Troubles just pop pup in the last hours and you're so tired that you just give up. Ill do better next time.
The controls are weird in a good way, and I like having to lead the shots, which feel powerful. I wasn't able to make it past the upgrade screen unfortunately, I'm not sure if that was a me problem.
"Hey there! Thanks heaps for your feedback—it's super valuable me and it is what pushes me to do better, for real. It's awesome to hear you're enjoying the game's controls and the punchiness of the shots. About the upgrade screen issue, you're right, i was already aware of this bug, you can pass trought the upgrade but it would eventually crash; but there was no time to fix. I'll for sure revisit if this prototype get's some relevance.
