You have done a lot with 9 Rooms, I really like it and all it's puzzles, I struggled at first with the controls, but soon got the hang of it. Nice graphics style and story structure.
Aw, I really did not want to take those actions, but I couldn't find any other way. Anyway, the puzzles are great, it's a gripping story, and you've done a lot with the limited environment. Well done!
"Errr, Jean-Luc - are you sure that blue shirt is yours?"
I played quite a few jams this time. This game undoubtedly made me ponder my decisions the most. In the end it was all my choice, though. I still feel bad. ^^
Great game. You managed to pack so many interesting puzzles into these rooms. This is definitely not easy. Got stuck a couple of times. For the last puzzle I had to resort to trial and error. This would probably benefit from some signposting. My favourite puzzle was the one with the states. That was a good one. Funny too.
A save option would be really nice. If you pick up the game again after the jam, you might want to consider that. It is a long and quite challenging game after all. The walking speed could also be a bit faster. But that's not a big deal and more personal preference.
The choice of assets and music is great. It definitely adds to the atmosphere. So does the ending. You've managed to create a great escape room. A really entertaining game. Makes you think in more than one way. :)
Woof, this one's pretty tough. I love how many puzzles and inventory interactions you managed to squeeze into these nine rooms, and nothing's TOO obfuscated that the average adventure-goer can't riddle their way out. Making a game world where almost every character and object interaction feels meaningful and worth the player's time is very cool, like an escape room design but a much broader (9 rooms to be exact) scale. Nice one.
thanks! glad you liked it
That was a fun puzzle game. Difficult at times (and dark!), but pretty fair on the whole. Nice job!
thank you!
Wow you managed to add a lot of content in such a short time! It's a good escape room type game and I enjoyed solving all those puzzles even though some of them were proper head-scratchers (like I had to resort to trial and error in some places and didn't know why certain things should go together).
If I had to make a suggestion, I'd say you should add a save game option because it's a pretty long and difficult game and it would be much more fun to solve the puzzles if we could take a break and come back to them later.
The music and graphics were nice and I enjoyed the story too (even though I hated myself by the end haha!). All in all, a solid entry. Good job!
haha thanks!
saving was one of the features I wanted to add, but there were a lot of flags and I ran out of time :/
glad you liked the game!
Cute top down experience ..except when I had to rip that flesh off the mouldy skeleton!!
Great job overall!
thank you!
Fairly engaging! I wish I was better at puzzles so I could finish it lol
