Charming little game!
I liked Magenta's dialogue, good characterization.
With a very nice, completely not foreboding ending!

"This is fine."

Magenta's design and her animations are great. The graphics are very charming in general. The writing of the game is also amusing. Escaping from the planet is not too difficult, but very entertaining. But somehow I feel I haven't thought through the possible consequences of my actions to the end. Well, I mean, what harm can it do, right?

Great work! I'm really looking forward to visit the rest of the not-at-all-doomed solar system. :)

Nicely done. I think we might've done an oopsie and may have accidentally doomed a solar system. All in a Sunday afternoon's work.

This was fun.  There were lots of nice visual touches (the wobbly brick, cat following you around, changing colour near the forcefield) that I haven't seen in other similar games so far this jam.  The puzzles were fairly easy, which is fine.  A bit pixel-hunt-y at times, but not too bad.  The ending was fun; nice to see that the intuition of "maybe it's a bad idea to just yoink this orb?" was correct, and I also like that you acknowledge if the player just keeps the cat at the end. Overall, a very polished, well-written, and enjoyable little game!

This is a fantastic game! I loved the puzzles and enjoyed the story. I felt engaged throughout the game. While the graphics are a bit simple, they are charming and you added things like turning the character green when she enters the room with the green light, which really added to the atmosphere. All the animations are also great.

Seriously this was so much fun! Great job!

In fact, I think that music in old-school quests is 50 percent of the atmosphere. It's a pity that you didn't have time to add something. But I imagined it in my head and realized that I definitely want to play the final version of the game. Good luck finishing the development!

This was fun! I started it last week but it crashed when I accidentally used an item on Magenta. Tried again and I’m glad I did. Funny dialogue, some good puzzles, and the rubber duck was a really great gradual hint system. I agree that some sound would really take it to the next level. Great job!

This was a very nice entry! Nice puzzles, funny writing. A bit of sound would have helped in the atmosphere (did you just forget to include the audio.vox file from the compiled folder, or the game is entirely without audio?)

Developer

We just didn't have time to add any sound to this version. They will be in the full game :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! NRftW is one of my favorite games from the jam so it means a lot!

There's a lot of really nice animations in this one, a good variety of puzzles, and even a built in hint system! Anyone who likes traditional point and click adventures should definitely be trying this one out.

Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Like the theme and the atmosphere. Colors were cool.
