This one had me totally engaged for a bit! I wish saving was possible, because it's easy to do something wrong in the game's current state and either die or not be able to progress. Dragging items from the inventory where they're not supposed to be used causes them to disappear forever unless they're being moved around on the screen they were collected.

Still, the actual exploration and sense of progression when I DID figure out the next step felt rewarding.  Figuring out the dog wants the bone, deciphering the message on the statue, getting the weapon. Harkening back to the earlier King's Quests is something I wish more games did. Cool stuff.

Cool game! I liked that you get to choose different actions. I enjoyed talking to/observing different characters to make progress. I was able to get the sword but then died trying to use it on the dragon. Such is the life of an adventurer, I guess. The art is simple but does its job well. The character animation was pretty smooth. Some music would have been nice.

There are some usability issues that can be improved on like the inventory items don't let you walk. Also, near the lake I couldn't see all the inventory items because of the tree and had to sort of guess where the gem was.

Overall, I think this has a lot of potential if you choose to keep working on it. Good work!

Nice nostalgic little game. The freedom of movement and character animations are great. I think the character can collide with the inventory items so I almost got stuck there. Some hints about what to do could also be nice to have. The interaction possibilities and different ways to die are a fun addition. Good work!

I saw a similar comment elsewhere, but this totally took me back to those Sierra games - a very welcome blast from the past, :)

Could use more substance in the game and probably a short guide? I think if you look at some of the other similar submissions of the same style you could draw quite a bit of inspiration to improve this or your next project

I don't really know what to do due to lack of guidance, but it's an interesting idea of a game. Probably just me with my lack of skill to complete puzzle games but yeah great game hahah.

I drowned. I fell in a hole. I fell in another hole. I took some meat and gave it to a skeleton and he didn't seem to care. I found four pairs of glasses. Never found my family.
