I know it's kind of a lame excuse but I'm stuck using my laptop right now and it doesn't have a numpad right now, and it would be nice to be able to use VI keys for my admittedly specific case.

Visually the game is very nice, and there's a lot of soul in general.

I didn't go too far, there's a lot of systems to learn in here and along with my keyboard trouble I'd like to wait until there's more content before I prepare for a full-run attempt

Loved it, it's like how Nioh is to Dark Souls but with Nethack. Would love mouse inputs if only to get a better idea of what can be done, like a right click context menu or being able to see what something distant is. My only other gripe is the name Ooe.

Had a lot of fun trying your game. The graphics were great and the UI was good. As far as the controls go I think they could use some polish. It was very difficult to get through combat while scrambling to learn the entire keyboard worth of controls. Maybe a limited moveset would be better or at least streamline combat

Didn't get very far, but liking the game so far. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to use a bow, even after equipping arros into the (9)Special slot and selecting the bow slot it told me I had no arrows equipped. Having '5' instead of 'h' as a skip turn would be nice as it fits into the numpad scheme. Ran into a small issue where the message log eventually stops autoscrolling, even if I scroll back to the bottom again.

The arrows thing is a bug I didn't catch, sorry about that. It will be fixed if I update this again. I'll test the keypad 5 thing as well, I was a bit concerned that it may cause confusion since 5 is an item slot which can be accessed with the top row 5.

The scroll thing is something I thought was fixed, I guess not. Thank you for the heads up.

Ninja stealth roguelike? Cool!

Unfortunately I didn't play much because some things annoyed me a bit too much.

Options menu please,  at the least sound options and if not rebindable controls I want to know what the controls are. I've played quite a few traditional roguelikes, ADOM being my favorite so I still have the muscle memory for playing that. Numpad moves - good, but 5 doesn't wait? How do you wait? Some items auto-pickup, makes sense, but I couldn't find the pickup button for those that don't. I keep trying to press W+direction to move in a direction until you hit something of interest like in many other RL games, could be something to add.
Other controls like the for inventory is fine as the keys are in the UI.

Lighting is nice. Same with the sounds. Some simple effects would do a lot I think, like a diagonal slash when attacking with a sword.

The game doesn't seem to be made for fullscreen at all, I played on a 27" 1440p monitor, loads of empty space. I'd like to be able to scale the UI, zoom in and out of the gameview with the mousewheel.

This is just a personal preference, but I think I'd like the log more on the bottom.

Enemies don't give any XP? I assume it's not implemented yet.

All in all the base seems good and I think a more stealth based RL can be really interesting, but I'd like to see a lot more QoL. As you can tell.

I forgot to mention that I can't get the Help window up, ? doesn't work.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I fixed up a few things, and a lot of the other stuff you mentioned is on the to do list.

You SHOULD be able to bring up the help with "?", it works on my machine, but there was an issue that may have stopped that working on some keyboards which is hopefully fixed now. Most of the stuff you talked about is implemented but I can't blame you for not finding it if the help wasn't working.

Enemies give exp at the end of the level, so that you can see what exp you got for killing vs sneaking past(sneaking past gives bonus exp).

It's likely a keyboard layout issue, I'm using a nordic keyboard.
