Incredibly charming, the chat had me questioning if there were actually people in the game. I wasn't entirely sure if i accomplished the goal just kind of walked around. did see a couple of texture glitches and there was a sound glitch with the snowy area music playing while i was near the waterfall. The faces proper spooked me.

Can't get enough of that MS Dos/Windows 95 UI and low poly graphics, genuinely nostalgic as I used Windows 95 quite a bit as a kid.  Feels reminiscent of LSD Dream Emulator in some ways, but still its own unique thing.  Have to agree that the chat dialogue could be a bit more of its era though, kind of breaks the illusion to see people using modern slang.

I enjoyed the exploration aspect, though wish there was a bit more to do.

Played foru roughly 10m, walked everywhere I could I think.

Why is Body a slider? Especially if you only have 2 Options.

Menu doesn't work, Hatshop doesn't work. Chatting doesn't work, and doesn't give me my Controls back when I finish typing a Message. Trees have no Collision, Texture banding on the wooden Houses is horrid. They need a few Mipmap Levels desperately.

Danced around a bit in Club Cactus, that's pretty much all I can do I think.

Nice Waterfall, looks terrible. Your Bushes reender on top of each other, not behind, Transparency Issue. Why are they Transparent Materials anyway, instead of masked?

Music in the Snow was a pleasant Surprise.

interesting idea but there really isn't that much to do in it.

maybe some minigames would help?

You're right, its very barren of anything, especially gameplay at the moment. Originally, it was made for the Dying MMO gamejam.
Minigames are a good idea, eventually I would like to have a text parser of some description and have the NPCs react to what you type.

Thanks for playing anyway!

Aesthetics is very much coherent. Once you type into the chat you have to click in order to get back to your person, it must be part of design but it's a tad confusing, especially since entering chat-mode doesn't allow you to scroll through the chat log or user list. I've hoped to reach the floating island in the sky but failed, I have however explored numerous environments you've prepared and all of them work well with the aesthetics you pursue.

If you're going for dead internet feel then you nailed it. I do wish they reacted to your lines somehow though.

You would have been trying forever to reach those Islands, as currently they are just a background texture. This game was originally made for the Dying MMO game jam, so it is empty and rushed. Thankyou for playing reguardless, I'm glad the aesthetics work and may build upon this base.

I gave it a shot but some of the textures didn’t load. I’m running it on Linux with Proton 7 so maybe something broke.

You’ve got the aesthetic right, but a lot of chat lines feel very obviously 2020s rather than 90s/00s.

None of my text got into the log so I just ran around and jumped out of the world and then quit. The chat controls are a little jank in that you have to click once after pressing enter in order to do anything.

Not sure where you’re going with this but it was interesting to wander around for a little bit.

Thanks for playing!
This was originally for the Dying MMO gamejam and it was very rushed.
As for the text, the "lore" is that the game servers are shutting down, and you are experiencing the last moments before they close, so it is technically set in current times. Stupidly, I forgot to mention this anywhere in game.
There's not anything else to do besides walk around and explore. I haven't tested it on Linux, but I'm happy to see it works somewhat.
