Loved this game. Gun is very satisfying, movement feels tight, levels are interesting. I especially like the design of the main character and the art that shows up when you beat the tutorial boss, I'm a sucker for any kind of knight with a gun. I personally wasn't a fan of the whole game pausing for a chunk of time whenever the player takes damage, but that might be personal preference. This may still be a WIP, but the lack of hit effects on the sub-weapons made them a lot less satisfying to use than the main weapon (other than the sword dash). The challenges were really fun, especially the poke / bomb only challenges which force you to consider your resources differently. The crusher and timer challenges i didnt like as much. Personally I thought the game was a bit easy, but I'm imagining the difficulty will ramp up as the game goes on. Great stuff!

- yes the game is still very wip, but i totally forgot to add a slash hit effect on the axe; so ty for reminding me 

- i plan to have a wide array of challenges, so you can avoid what you don't like if you dont plan to go for 100% completition (or power yourself up to the max)

- i hammered down the game a lot following feedback,  nobody likes to die in the tutorial. Of course the difficulty will ramp up.

Fun game. The presentation is rather basic but I really enjoyed it. Wish it had more levels like the sewer one. I managed to complete all the challenges, the difficulty seems to be on point

Alright first time playthrough. So I got through the base game and some challenges (not the new ones sorry). I'd do them all but I suck lmao. I like the challenge and the abilities that help you get through them and the art looks good. I almost got filtered by the red spinny level, I'd consider a version of that level with less spinnys to introduce it as the pacing goes from tutorial to wtf I've died 12 times now, very stark. I also didn't like that you could only see your hitbox/iron man heart when doing the precision shift, I'd like to always see it. But yeah it controls good and there were no bugs. The blueberry boss was super fun and most levels were a blast. Keep it up!

The "red spinny level" you screenshotted is a little unfair on purpose. That room is a tutorial for the bomba "you can evade everything, etc": in practice you can pass this challenge without losing a single hp, but it's a very hard challenge. The solution in this case is to use the Bomba to bypass some of it.

Of course some players still don't wanna ever use a bomba, they prefer to die. I need a better tutorial to explain that.

Interesting, I felt the room before was the actual tutorial for the boomba and here since the boomba couldnt destroy the red things, it only lets you avoid taking slightly more damage and felt strange.

Very fun and interesting mashup of shmup and platformer. I liked seeing your progress on the thread. Since I didn't find anything wrong with the gameplay or any bugs, I'll make some nitpicks on the art. Now the moment I got the first axe weapon and used it, I thought "wow, that animation looks weird." Worst part is I'm not an artist so I can't say exactly why it looks weird. It might have something to do with mixels or rixels. I understand much of the art is probably not final but I just wanted to get that off my chest. Otherwise it's a good game and I found the difficulty just on point.

I understand the axe problem, i'l explain it so maybe it would also be useful to you: axe subW is the one projectile that i rotate via animation (and make it bigger and shorter) and not via different sprites. You are the first to voice it, so double ty for making me notice dud
