nice little experiment -- but more importantly, thank you for the very educational write-up on your experience

Very floaty! Felt less like a tank and more like a glider I could launch really high if I hit ramps or drove up walls. When the enemy respawns I can't target them again. Also I couldn't switch to the scout.

Very sluggish on mouse and keyboard but it's great on a controller.
Since the gun autotargets enemies, it might be better to have a generic "target closest" setting rather than only being able to target specific enemies.
Wish there were more targets to play around with.

This project is cursed for reasons I won't get into and so I want nothing to do with it anymore.

nice driving, though i initially thought that steering with the mouse was not working, but in reality it was simply the mouse sensitivity set waaaaay too low, so even if i moved my mouse across the entire desk the vehicle was barely turning at all.
it worked fine with the arrow keys, though it's not exactly how i would expect to drive a vehicle in a pc game

I didn't manage to spawn enemies or understand firing(unless it's auto fire) but you sure can program satisfying movement!
