Cinema. Love the JustinRPG (if I hear correctly) music.
-Can you backwards race? I tried it but couldn't, at least not by entering a negative number. But the guy's dialogue made me wonder if it was possible. It would definitely be fun.
-No reset button at the end, but I assume that's intentional. It makes it feel more... real. This is truly the 14th Nightmare Race.
-Love the dialogue, reminds me of sweet bro and hella jeff.
-Freeze when talking to the guy about nostalgia and the long shadow and shit at the end, but it might be an intentional freeze. Could have to do with alt tabbing for a second.
Thank you for the review. In the story, backwards driving was a thing in the past nightmare races that racer4 did because they slipped into boredom and apathy, but that was all in the past. Now that you mention it though it could be fun to add it as a bonus feature you unlock after reading that dialogue. Also that is indeed JustinRPG's voice in the song, I sampled the sound from "riding moltres to goldenrod".
After some testing I also got the game to freeze when I initiated dialogue while moving around, I think that has to do with moving outside of the dialogue zone, thanks for letting me know of that bug.
Congratulations for finding the emerald. As for what the emeralds do, I tried taking inspiration from sonic the hedgehog 1 and made them do absolutely nothing.
Well, thank you for your review. The graphics aren't really the point of the game, it's trying to explore a unique meta-narrative and while the graphics do serve that purpose I think the dialogue and gameplay and game structure are more significant, but if you can enjoy it in your own way thats fine.

Kino shitpost. I honestly dig it, including the OST and the graphics.
Managed to crash myself into the wall AND find a crystal and not crash (I did not finish first).
Don't know what else to say. It was very short and very fun.
I think I've done the average player route.
Step 0 - don't know what to do. Start the game again.
Step 1 - I actually have to enter the car to start. Drive 120 Mph the whole time. Crash at the finish line and die. At least I was first!
Step 2 - Actually use different speeds this time. Finished first and didn't crash, but didn't find the emerald. Learn where it can be find though.
Step 3 - Found the emerald entrance but missed it. Next time will be successful.
Step 4 - Finally got the emerald and finish first. Nothing changed at the end though.
Overall pretty fun shitpost. Please don't try to make it a full game.
now THIS is pod racing

Its kino.
Reminds me of Kubus games and Revenge of the Sunfish, you love to see it. I like the story and the emerald the best.
Thank you for the review, and congratulations for finding the emerald. You have truly beat the game
My favorite game so far, purely because of the rat boy genius graphics. Paint kino
