Tried to run this on Linux but couldn't make it work even after installing libsdl2-image-dev. But maybe that's just a problem on my end not in the build. So I played .exe.
I don't really play bullet hell games so I didn't get that for. Never the less this game has a certain charm to it. Hope you add some light story to this somewhere down to road. I've not played the original but I liked the silly halloween edit.

Hello. Did the program ask you to install any SDL libraries? It shouldn't do that since all of the libraries are in the root folder. I've had problems with that in the past so I can't guarantee it's not a blunder on my side. At least the Windows version works... Anyway, thanks for playing and Happy Halloween!
I've never really played bullet hells before, this shit is hard. I have it on easy and I can't get past the big skelly.

Seems like it could be a good game and I love the spooky additions, I'm just too much of a bullet hell noob to play it.
Hello. Yes, the boss is relatively hard (actually a reskin of the stage 3 boss). I recommend saving up the bombs and using them to get rid of the harder attacks. You can dodge the 1st and 3rd attacks relatively easily by just moving lightly sideways (see the timestamp). Indeed, shoot-'em-ups are a niche genre so do not worry if you're bad at it! I myself am still pretty bad at them. Thanks for playing regardless!
I haven't played the non-halloween version but frankly this was delightful. Only bug I found on controller was that after dying I tried to set the difficulty to easy and the game crashed (???) but other than that really enjoyed it, good time. Only complaint is how ass it was to try and catch the powerups but I am bad at these things so I don't think it's a problem with the game.
Hello. I think there's something wrong with the game reset function that makes it crash sometimes if you restart the game through the main menu. I haven't had the game ever crash when just playing it from start to finish, but it often crashes when I'm testing stuff. Thank you for the report, I'll try to fix it as soon as possible.
