Cool concept, and very nice tutorial levels… It’s very rare to see such good tutorials in small game jams… I also died and couldn’t restart :( I downloaded the patched version too, but still…. Apart from that, nice game… Keep it up…. Would love if you rate mine :)

NEAT GAME! I was really enjoying it, made it past the first two rooms, but then died, and when I tried to press R to restart, the game hung? Has this happened to anyone else?

Developer

Is this the WebGL version? It seems to unfortunately have a number of issues, namely restarting not working. It works in the Unity editor at least, so I don’t know what build setting I changed to make that happen, haha.

Good concept and the AI was done well too!  The powers were cool!  Was fun and polished!  Nice work! :D

Good job with slowly introducing the mechanics. In my opinion, the controls could have been a bit more "tight".

That was fun!  I'm always a sucker for a good parry in my 2d brawlers.  One technical issue that was a touch annoying was that pressing R to restart didn't actually do anything for me and I had to fully reload, at least on the browser version.

For some reason, that issue seems to be Web specific. At the very least the checkpoint system works in the editor, so I have no idea what I did wrong to make the builds act so strange, haha.   Thanks for trying the game though!

Very interesting game!  Enjoyed the mechanics and the basic idea.  Controls/UI felt a bit wonky (I couldn't tell what the different attacks were doing).  It also didn't seem to allow me to restart the game (though that could just be something weird with my web browser).  I feel like with a bit of polish this could be very good indeed!

Developer

Yeah, unfortunately the web gl version seems to be straight busted in a number of ways, haha. I can’t imagine what I did that made it so wonky. Thanks for playing though!

It was fun! I realized that after dying, I could keep moving by pressing Esc twice.

This is a really good hidden gem of this jam, maybe you could change the attack and parry inputs to a key instead of the mouse to use only keyboard inputs. The movement feels amazing great job, I like a good movement on platform games :D

This game was really fun! A game where the enemy breaks the rules instead of you is something I haven't seen yet, and the execution was wonderful. My only complaint was that alt attack was listed as "WA" for the keyboard... whatever that means. I eventually figured out that I could activate my shield with left click.

Developer

Ooooh, I meant to put the W and S keys, not W and A. I really wanted to make little icons for all keyboard controls like I did the gamepad for readability sake, but man, everything started to fall apart in the last few hours for me, if you couldn’t already tell haha. Some very silly mistakes on my part.

Big mood. I spent way too much time working on the very last day, and not enough time working on the rest of week.
