Wihin the theme, classic sounds. I would enjoy this more with a drum track maybe.
Your melodic ideas are a good take, but it would have been great to have some rhytmic part to bind everything together! Following the direction you wanted to give to your track is a bit hard, mostly after the intro.
Maybe a bit to atonal for my personal taste, but it does fit well with a creepy underground level ! Good job !
The sporadic melody reminds me of the original track in a good way, pretty creative. I think it would have benefitted from a section with a more tame rhythm to "anchor" on to. Nice work!
We are well within the theme, very sober and very neutral 8-bit instrumental. Times of silence, atonal passages (just after parallel 6ths, which contrasts even more).
But I find that it lacks a bit of overall direction, the unstructured melodies stick well to the theme, but almost only that for sometimes +10s, it's perhaps a bit much ^^' (afterwards it may be a choice assumed, and it fits well with the underground atmosphere)
