Track description | Creative process
This challenge was very hard.
Super Mario without its Underground Theme is impossible to imagine, so I tried to think about a remake of the original game in a modern style, pushing the Switch at its limits. Maybe a remake for the next console?
I tried to use different sounds to get the feeling of the original game, mixing them with other synths that resemble the modern Nintendo sounds, keeping in mind the darker vibes of the underground setting.

I hope you like my work and wish you a good listen!

Very cool progression. Love the reflection of the original in the ostinato rhythm. Nice work!

Nice track really, would work great in a real Mario Game ! Love the part between 0:38 and 0:56, very spooky and good chords progression, very good job !

Love it! Sounds really cool as if we could imagine another alternative version. And it sounds like this. I really like it.

I know this gets said a lot about video game compositions, but this really sounds like if there was a Mario underground music reference in an undertale/deltarune track!

I think you’ve done a great job drawing rhythmic inspiration from the original while developing the atmosphere of it in a way that makes it feel modern and spooky. Unlike the original, there is also a lot more breathing room in this which would fit a game with more exploration/story. This could definitely fit in a modern remake of the game!

Amazing work. Creepily happy, which is easier said than done! Spooky and upbeat melody with an excellent instrumentation choice and fantastic rhythm section to keep us moving along the track. I am definitely picturing this in a remake of the game.

the little quotes made me laugh haha reimagining the theme with the current sound of switch game was a great angle to take.

Great job++
