Track description | Creative process
This was really hard, because the original music by Koji Kondo is such an iconic (and short) loop that nothing else feels remotely close to fitting the level! The requirements for this composition was that it had to be more than a minute long and could not be a cover of the original loop.
I tried to keep within the constraints of the original NES sound hardware for this composition with some creative liberties.

Effective chiptune. I like the percussion. Nice work!
I like how it sounds regarding chiptune, the structure of the piece is also well done. However I am not a fan of the harmony and melody direction, because it don't makes me feel like I am underground, and also because it goes round in circle a bit.
Great to see along with the level video. It fits very well. Great job!
Thank you for listening!
It fits really well, great job!!
Thank you!
Great rhythm. Having the gameplay with the audio was a great choice. Was that clip of gameplay your inspiration for the song?
Thanks for listening! The gameplay was recorded after I made the music, my main idea was built around a good rhythm as I feel like that’s common across all the Mario OSTs regardless of musical style and console generation.
Good ideas, and well executed ! Makes me want to dance, the rythmic part is very catchy, good job !
Thank you for listening, I’m glad you like the rhythm!
Love the bass line and the emulated sounds like the original. Good!
Thank you!
Good sound choice going with the original chipset, the percussions and the bass work very well together and set the mood nicely. Good job!
Thank you for listening!
loved the percussion on this one!! had me bopping my head along
Thank you!
Cool track, liked the percussions and how you did it. Staying very bassy to fit the underground theme. good job.
Thank you :D
This one has some great energy!
Good use of syncopation and I like like when the instruments come together to slam big chords.
Thanks for listening!
